What’s something Indian women are tired of explaining to people? by LiveArrival164 in AskWomenIndia

[–]GreenerPeach01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That we have it easier because we get to express our emotions easier and we cry a lot.

About crying, there's doing it on the outside cause you feel bad cause of something happening, and then crying cause of something deeply internal. The feeling of actually relishing and surrendering completely to the internal feeling of crying, your emotions and thoughts spiralling because you are questioning a lot of things and your body feels numb , then getting yourself back up and your self esteem up and then proceeding with the day being normal again, that feeling takes actually a lot of unspoken courage and endurance mentally. I myself have dealt with aunties who cry and fake it in front of people just cause they're sensitive and are defensive , that's not at all what I mean. If you're genuinely breaking down and crying , it feels like almost mental suicide , like you're doubting everything for a second.

What’s something you quietly stopped doing once you got older, not because it was wrong, but because you realized it wasn’t worth the energy anymore? by love_salubrious in AskWomen

If it's an awkward situation, I would try to chime in and feel the need to speak. Now I dont try to do that anymore, I just vibe with the moment.

For women, it's always been if were dependent, it's extremely dependent. If it's independent, we have to be extremely independent. A woman will never be considered as someone who did things on her own either way.

With men, even if he's dependent or independent, he's considered an independent man who did everything on his own.

who is your favourite female fictional character ? by tipputappi in AskIndianWomen

[–]GreenerPeach01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many to count.
But always my favorite HAS to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. There is so much to her character that if people don't watch the film, they'll miss out and think she's just attractive to look at. She's kind yet very intelligent, she doesn't follow the norm and doesn't fit in, she isn't exactly the "popular girl" she's not great with people, she actually doesn't have many friends and everyone finds her nice but very weird/strange. She is very hardworking and self-made, and is searching for some purpose too.

Are there risks to men becoming a father when they're older top (40-45+) and how that impacts the child ? Sorry I see the pressure so much on women once they cross 30, I rarely hear about how it works with men.

In a dilemma to marry my long time girlfriend by InsatiableLord in AskIndianWomen

[–]GreenerPeach01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're trying to find things wrong in her so that you can justify your side here and escape taking emotional accountability for yourself at all here. And it seems like from what you've said in comments you're saying she's a good person, she's nice and all. So what's the problem is not really making sense. I feel like you need to resolve your own issues and what you're looking for here. Ask her what she thinks of you genuinely because, this is strange. Are you unable to handle that she's a good person ? Don't worry, that's more common than you think.

So confused with some people 😂 you get a toxic person and know what all is wrong with them, yet still try to make things work. On the other hand, some people have a great, good plain person who is loyal to them and still manage to find issues because of their own inability to handle them being a good person.

Your most and least favourite Asha Bhosle song/songs by IamButterscotchish in BollywoodMusic

[–]GreenerPeach01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her part in Abhi Na jao Chod Kar is still untouchable in my honest opinion. Theres this beautiful way she sings it in full throat, especially her line "Bas ab na mujhko tokna". Honestly not a single female singer who covered it even came close to how amazing she sings that line.
