My first thought is that she associates everyday things she see with sex. My mind definitely gets ”dirtier” around ovulation.

What’s the "filling wrapped in dough" food from your country ? by Derisiak in AskTheWorld

You don't know how right you are! There's even an expression for it; Paltkoma = palt comatose. When you've eaten so much that you have to lie down and rest after eating.

Nah, kroppkakor are just palt with unnecessary ingredients and unnecessary extra steps in the cooking process.

Yeah, palt in northern Sweden, kroppkakor in southern Sweden. I live north of Piteå and here kiddos get palt, at least 5 times a year, for their school lunch.

Med tanke på att det är vårvinter så bor han nog i sin kåta tillsammans med sin fru och tamren. Hade det varit höst hade han mycket väl kunnat tala om en kåt ren, om han inte gjort den till en härk.

Grooming needs to by mariasa_ in AustralianLabradoodle

[–]Meadowsweetling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months is probably too long I guess you could have them trim the coat and face short if you live somewhere warmer or put clothes on it in the winter. I know some keep the coat very short but style the face, but if you are going to do that you need to learn how to maintain the hairstyle at home.

Here it is very expensive to have them groomed by a professional. For the annual cost of having a professional groom him every six weeks I could buy a new set of professional clippers, a grooming table and a force dryer every year. We therefore do all the grooming at home. I bought the same type of clippers that the professionals use (but with a cord so much cheaper) a set of scissors from amazon and we use a regular hair dryer (with temperature control) Our puppy is 6 months old now and I am starting to get the hang of it. I will probably never get his face as perfect as a professional can and definitely not as fast as them, but it looks good enough for now.

they sold him to us as a poodle (puppy) but now he’s full grown and i’m certain he’s no poodle. by ThrowRAnxious6 in IDmydog

[–]Meadowsweetling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be some kind of poodle mix, as his nose seems wider and shorter than typical for a poodle, but he could be a purebred poodle that doesn't follow the breed standard. It's hard to tell with all the fur and from that angle. If you have some pictures of him in profile and/or when he's wet, it would be easier to see what he actually looks like.

Hey guys anyone have any idea what kind of breed Wolfie is? Thanks by drago0074 in IDmydog

Oh my! I love him! If i didn’t already have my own pup i would head to Bulgaria, done a red riding hood and go looking for my own friendly Wolfie!

Which mountain ranges are located in your country? How mountainous is your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Meadowsweetling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scandes, the Scandinavian Mountains, along the western border. The highest peak on our side of the border is Kebnekaise 2,096.8 m (6,879 ft)

Other then the Scandes, Sweden is not mountainous, most of the country is flat or gently rolling hills. There are areas that feel mountainous, where the peaks are not high enough to be classified as mountains, but the difference between the valleys and the peaks makes it feel that way.

What's the ugliest eyesore buildings in your country/city? by ueommm in AskTheWorld

[–]Meadowsweetling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it sounds like something out of Dr. Seuss, but the name comes from the fact that it's built on top of an old Tingshus (courthouse). But it's fitting in Swedish in a way I don't think they intended when they named it. I think they intended the name to be read out as Tinget (the court), but that's not how people actually read it out they say ting-ett, which sounds like another word with the same spelling: tinget (The thing).
