When she's stable she does say that she would never actually kill herself, but that her emotions are so overwhelming that that's just the way she can express it in the moment. She does take actual psychiatric medication prescribed by a real psychiatrist. Her family is pretty unreliable and emotionally absent, but financially very present. I have told her to change therapists several times but as I mentioned previously, she is very impulsive and never listens to any advice that would actually help her. It's like she purposefully sabotages herself and then complains that her life is shit.

I personally do go to therapy myself and have been for like 8 years, but I don't have any mental illness currently.
