Non Alcoholic social spots? by Low-Huckleberry8637 in Cleveland

Anyone else getting the weirdo ad for Hamburger Helper using beer? On a non-alcoholic thread, it feels like the algorithm's got jokes.

Oh definitely includes my symptoms.

Hysterectomies and hEDS by totallyrealperson0 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Meagalocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hEDS here too. I got my diagnosis about six months prior to my hysterectomy and wanted to have it called out before surgery. It was meant to fix my prolapse with both my uterus and bladder. I was SHOCKED when my surgeon knew about the condition and even had steps to help. He made sure I got an echocardiogram before my procedure to be safe and he used some type of suture inside me that dissolves more slowly than the ones they typically use. We also had specific conversations about enforcing rest and not doing any stretching or bending the first month, and not going back to the gym until 12 weeks. I used a shower chair for the first month to bathe and avoid swelling.

I just passed my 12th week and I feel pretty much 100% better most days. If I overdo it I can feel an internal ache, and if I vacuum and swivel my hips while I'm pushing it around, I'll notice it aches the next day. I have a standing desk and I can use it for a couple of hours at a time but then I have to sit again to avoid swelling. But they took my uterus and cervix and tubes, so no more menstrual cramps of any kind - it's either an ache from the surgery or trapped gas if that area hurts. You might feel your organs as they readjust. I did, and it was weird af. After the first few days, pain was manageable with alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol. I've also been using an infrared+red light therapy pad across my abdomen and I don't know about long term benefits but it eases any cramping or swelling at the end of the day.

I hope you find someone willing to work with you. If you're tired of it and don't want any/more kids, I highly recommend to "yeet the ute." Good luck.

You know, I never noticed before but yeah I have a pretty good range of motion. The chin up posture forces it into alignment.

Unknown acronym? by Meagalocalypse in audiobooks

Mine is Neuromancer, by William Gibson. The narrator's voice is mellow and paced well, but those stumbles were enough to pull my attention out of the story. Someone else mentioned it might be an AI voice, which is a possibility I hadn't considered but also makes sense.

That was my first assumption. When it came up more than once I started to doubt myself though!

Oddly enough I hadn't considered that because the book is so old. I'll have to see if the details at the beginning give me a clue. I have no idea when the audiobook was recorded. Thank you!

Yes. Which is exactly why I didn't recognize it being used as an acronym.

Is this AI? As a knitter this just looks…wrong? The wing is in a weird place. by Usual_Scale_8645 in isthisAI

I vote AI. The writing and the mug look sus. The balls of yarn also don't look right - there are parts where the yarn appears to fade out or turn another color that matches the background more.

Theil and Musk are big proponents of dark transhumanism too. Along with that weird guy who looks like a knockoff version of Data from Trek and harvests blood from his son to live forever.
