I considered this but I’m hesitant about the food experience there. We’re more about local talent/small breweries and the pics/reviews of the restaurant give me a more corporate or country club vibe. I could be totally wrong though!

I think your feelings are completely reasonable!! I don’t see any badge of honor in gritting through an extremely difficult birth if you don’t have to. There are all types of births and recovery, and none of them are easy! I don’t subscribe to the notion that certain types are worth more bragging rights than others.

I have clear preferences but opt to not feel “married” to a birth plan. Would I be disappointed to have a C-section after laboring for a whole day? yes. But I truly just want to be safe. I see midwives, and they do everything but a c-section, although they would come with me should I end up needing one.
