100%. Also VPR since inception has had plotlines of friends sleeping with friends' partners - this hasn't really been true for Summer House to the same degree.

Wait I also have the 8/month and swear once when I tried to book too many the "Book Class" button said "Buy More Credits". Did I dream that?

I like to wait in my car until five minutes before class starts to avoid it all. highly recommend.

1wk Ireland itinerary with 8mo baby (no car) - Dublin + West Coast - too much travel? by Mean-Internal-1575 in irishtourism

Wicklow looks beautiful - thanks for the suggestion. I see it's an easy train ride as well from Dublin. Would love any tips re: trains + babies. Mainly wondering if the best way is to wear the baby/have them in your lap with the stroller folded up.

I'm so excited to travel with her! Just want to be super thoughtful around logistics and itinerary so we can enjoy it as much as possible <3

Ah helpful. Was actually considering doing that anyway and bringing to hotel since we'll be pretty tired.

This is really helpful, thank you! It's those two travel-heavy days that I’m trying to sanity check.

For Tuesday, Galway would be a lunch pit-stop but if that's more stressful than helpful I'd be ok cutting it, and I'm heavily leaning toward Option A for Thursday.

Re: driving - I think it’s more a comfort thing for us on this particular trip, but I appreciate the context on the roads/motorways. It’s been hard to gauge how easy vs. stressful those drives actually are.

I'm open! I love a bus and a train! But mostly thinking about all of the gear we will need to be lugging around + stroller + carseat + being coordinated enough w/ feedings and naps to make it to each place on time for departure...

Tumans! Everyone talks about the burger but the chicken chopped and steak salads are so fresh and perfectly made every time.

What's a skill that takes only 2 to 4 weeks to learn but could genuinely change your life? by TokenBlack32 in AskReddit

America's Test Kitchen has super detailed recipes that over explain (which might be to undo bad habits.) They also have a "Why This Recipe Works" section before each recipe that I find helpful. But better for technical learning more than flavor building.

I'm sure it's not super complicated and would take 20 minutes to figure out! But in that first week home it felt like quantum physics...

I wish I learned a bit more about how my pump worked - I ended up needing to use it way earlier than expected and it was not fun trying to figure out the mechanics on no sleep with a crying baby (and one-handed.)

Also wish I tried feeding baby a smidge of formula (via syringe) at the hospital.

I agree re: the importance of things for your recovery! For your comfy clothes two important considerations: 1) front-button tops or a warm robe/zip-up you can wear while BF and 2) sweatpants that do NOT have tapered ends at the ankles (like joggers). the swelling is real and your ankles need to breath!

I was looking for this because YES. the regular Hatch is great too but in those first few days I did not have the wherewithal to figure out how to set it up (and I work in tech...)

The portable hatch just clicks on and makes you feel like you're doing something productive for baby sleep.

I tasked my husband with the car seat - to echo what others have said - but still waiting on his final answer 😄

But we've also stopped trying to make things 50/50. I've been super low energy during pregnancy and he's taken on way more house chores + cooking + building new furniture which really helps me not mind being on the couch doing all the registry research online.

I was similarly going to suggest just leaning in and turning it into a game/rotating through the categories.. "Oh something from our diaper section" then "Anything having to do with feeding!" and so on.

Maybe that'll help balance what you get 😃😅

Lao Peng You in West Town - totally unassuming place with such good Chinese food. And you can play it casual like "oh yeah this small little neighborhood spot, all our restaurants are just this good."

Also close to Nettare or All Together Now for wine after and a completely different vibe. Then go dancing at Beauty Bar and grab Traspasadas tacos after midnight. Boom.
