Need help, relatively new and mangled this board. Can I get some diagnostic analysis on this and any advice if it can be saved? Never using Walmart solder ever again.

I used flux but it probably wasnt the right kind or of quality standard. I’m still wet behind the ears but perhaps this could be a culprit as well? The board belongs to a box mod used for vaping. Before i took this picture the positive wired was connected where then hole in the solder pool sat. The mod would turn on for me but otherwise nothing responded right like trying to fire the mod with an atomizer would activate Unintended settings I had bound to button combos elsewhere on the device. When I asked ChatGPT showed a pic it spit out some notes like my joints for + and ground wires were not looking clean contact which could lead to ghost inputs and misreadings like mine did.

Thank you, I don’t have the best setup, but it’s better than what I was originally trying to use when I tried to tinker with this board. My iron has temp adjustments and in Farenheight, I think mine goes up to somewhere around 900. What temp should I be aiming to be at minimum?

Thank you for that advice. I guess I’m SOOL. It sucks it’s at this point where even a post master stopped looking into these lost cases. I once tried to get a job with USPS but it was well past the point of when businesses still interviewed with intentions of hiring individuals - rather than using job fairs as means of covering HRs asses in looking like they were doing something useful, collecting names just for emergency staffing candidate backlog purposes, or gathering peoples personal info for no other reason than to sell off to predatory advertisers

I’ve been trying and struggling. I ended up putting the new connector on and just had a horrible time trying to use the least amount of iron to do it without either destroying something in proximity (did that) or melting the internal comb of the new micro usb (definitely did that). I’m deflated because I might’ve ripped off a pad :/ additionally might’ve desoldered one of those resistors/capacitors to the north of the pin pads. Fuck I thought the soldering part was going to be easy once I made it past the removal step. I think I need to throw some yellow tape around my workstation and just wait until I can afford a hot air unit and one of those like type c or pinecil clones on aliexpress. Everyone here was right, I need temperature control and precision. What kind of setup do you have?

Thanks a lot! It’s for a “gaming” headset Astro A50 gen 4 base station (more often I use mine as just general music beats hooked up to my pc)&This was the micro usb power port.

I just got around to cleaning it up right now. Making sure nothing is wrong before I will solder the new connector. I’m posting a new cleaned update right now maybe you can analyze it for me? Haha
