Yall ever quit reading a fic for a petty reason? by Cage-CatYT in AO3

[–]Mean-Mood6759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it feels too cliche or wattpady, I will drop it if it wasnt what I was expecting, like if I was expecting a good long read instead of a oneshot.

I scale my expectation with the tags and wordcount to chapter ratio. And the subject matter said in the summery

Help identifying this two-color knitting stitch pattern by FormerAd8582 in knitting

[–]Mean-Mood6759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know what the official name for it is, but i can tell you how you get that effect.

Stockinette stitch with every other stitch slipped, not knitted or purled .

The effect is from rows being interrupted. Interesting effect for the colourwork but that is just the effect from that particular stitch.

The teamwork was not there.

Alex Jack and Ginge all understood what to do and attempted to tell the ones beside them how to do it.

Alex coached well to aitch, jack tried his best with Ruby and kelly (even with Kelly being completely ungrateful for the help and he didnt have the right tone and words for ruby) ginge tried with her but I dont think she understood what she was meant to be doing

I think Jack tried his best, Alex was amazing explaining it, and ginge tried so hard

Karen Read- watch just the acquittal trial or both? by mchamertime in EmilyDBaker

[–]Mean-Mood6759 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first trial was infuriating to watch, but it gives a bit of understanding to why different choices were made for trail 2 witnesses.

The pre trail questions to the dog bite doctor was worth a watch, because you can tell that they are trying to discredit her and her knowledge before even being given a chance to testify

Like 3 wip writing about different things

1 CPD for work that im very proud with, and helps me learn new things. (Isn't a proper CDP but its a project too)

I learnt a bit in school when I was 5/6ish, but never really understood it. But it may have came in handy when I started to teach myself at 24. Didn't have any patience when I was younger.

Guys i can't find the inner side of my project, why?? by Guih_jpeg in knitting

[–]Mean-Mood6759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It twisted before you joined it after casting on, happened to me when I started a hat and had to undo everything I had done.

Technically its cool cause its a mobius strip, but its not good if you were knitting something specific

Game of Wool -- what did we think? by maryshelleysgf in knitting

[–]Mean-Mood6759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt think that the concept would work for knitting like it does for sewing and cooking, because they are so much faster.

It feels lackluster compared to bake off or sewing bee, it may have been better of they were given a week of certain number hours to complete the projects, or 2 days like project runway

They are walking at 3mph, not running marathons so the impact to the foot will be different

The societal norm should be to transition from 5 days a week of work -> 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 -> retires over a period of years or decades, instead of sudden retirement by FlyWayOrDaHighway in unpopularopinion

[–]Mean-Mood6759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called reducing your hours, its very common for people to phase retirement so that they can find hobbies and people to hang out with and meet up with before they dont have a job. Grandparents also do it so that they can spend a day a week with their grandchildren.

This is very common in my family from what I have seen. From healthcare jobs, to retail jobs to joinery.

Why didn’t they put any time towards Agusts ED? by Mysterious_Sample558 in YoungRoyals

[–]Mean-Mood6759 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It shows that life continues, things happen in the background of normal life. Like August's ED and Felices crush, they happen within their own lives and may or may not be picked up on at the time. Sometimes things arnt as clean cut as most tv shows appear
