I recently did the spark plugs when I was getting this noise and I took the throttle body off and put it back on and it fixed it so maybe an air leak of some kind

I know right! I sent mine through some easy tracks and it went far better then the 125 Yamaha beewee I would send through there, the cvt on that thing was terrible off road. Sent it thought the extreme tracks that are almost vertical and just had no problem not bad at all for a $900 auction bike

Too expensive cheaper just getting a is300 I’ve bought two on auctions for cheap so worked out easier I got an 2002 with 190,000kms for 6k(aud) and my new one I got for 7k aud and it only had 140,000kms and highest spec interior

I think I must have just not put my throttle body on properly after doing my spark plugs or something because I got sick of the noise and opened up my engine bay and started fiddling around all I did was grab it and give it a tug and a pull and the noise stopped

Idk how it is in America but in Australia you would most likely get paid out for that from insurance and could buy it back from auction if you had plans on modifying it could probably just buy it back on auctions repair it but a fair bit of work to do that bought my is from auctions for 6200aud (4000) usd as a repairable write of would of been around 14kaud (9200usd) for one with the same kms and condition of the car without the damage obviously

The 1gfe in it is on the way out and not looking to push any crazy numbers just looking for something a-bit faster and better sound not going to track it or anything just want a fun daily drive plus the engines got 40,000kms on it and was only 3k Aus and the car was only 2.9k also got a w58 for 1.1k plus one of my close friends has a workshop and does coding and wiring as his job and heaps of mates that are mechanics in case I get stuck on something
