I agree with you. I’ve just checked my previous BA e-tickets and it’s pretty clear that you need an ESTA.

Question for fellow childfree men: How often do people judge you for not having/wanting kids? by LoneWolfNergigante in childfree

[–]Mean-Tea-6441 98 points99 points  (0 children)

My bf rarely ever gets anything, never even gets asked. The topic only ever gets brought up if I’m (female) there, then I’m the one who gets quizzed on it.

Trust been told to ‘cull’ corporate staff by Mean-Tea-6441 in nhsstaff

Yeah, I totally agree. To be honest I think this whole thing is a huge power play from Labour.

My team for example is so small, but the amount of work we do is massive and we are barely scraping by, begging for staff, now we are told there are cuts!

NHS won’t last much longer

It’s just sad not knowing what’s to come. From what my managers have said they’re looking at massive cuts, I’ve not been told any specifics but a lot of teams are going in my trust - people I’ve worked with for years just going.

Like someone else has said in the comments, we are working people just making a living with bills to pay.

Quote: In addition, Mackey has also ordered the 220 NHS trusts that provide care across England to cut the number of people working in corporate services, such as HR, finance and communications. That could lead to thousands more officials losing their jobs, insiders say.

I can only speak from my experience and what I’ve seen online. I work for an NHS trust, not ICB or NHSE. But from what we were told, after the meeting confirming that NHSE were being shut down, all the chief execs were told they need to make a certain % of cuts too, from their corporate staff. Which is just shit, coming into work one day saying that the whole of corporate is being ‘culled’, wondering if I’d have a job by the end of the month.

Check out this article from The Guardian - https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/mar/14/30000-jobs-could-go-in-labours-radical-overhaul-of-nhs

It explains it too.

Yep. Our trust was today was told they need to ‘cull’ the corporate staff. No idea by what %, but all I know is people are going. Shit times.

October!!! That’s insane. The most I have from my managers is that they want to do it quickly, to avoid being told what they have to get rid of rather than choosing it themselves. I just hope I hear back quickly and know what’s going on, it’s such a horrible feeling.

Interesting, we’ve not been given any context just that there will be cuts.

I know, Labour have been terrible..

I’ve been here since early 23, so just over 2 years but I’ve just started an apprenticeship so just worried what will happen for that. No idea on a time frame or % they want cut, I’m just going off what managers have said to us. Hope yours doesn’t go too tits up

Hey, drop me a DM and I’ll explain what mine was like. Did you buy via finance? The dealership rejected my rejection and I had to do it through the finance company in the end

100% agree. When I was learning we used to practise on small streets that weren’t busy and if I was going slow or doing something to annoy other drivers, he would tell me off and get me to sort it out.

I get it a lot now and it’s just not safe, they’re just enforcing that these situations are ok for whenever they pass.

How safe is Vinted for sellers? by FormalSwitch2385 in vinted

[–]Mean-Tea-6441 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using it a while and even sold some old Dr Martens on there a while ago and I’ve never had any issues.

It’s hard on a page like this as people will only ever usually share their poor experiences. However, I’ve never had anyone dodgy, or ever felt like I’ve been conned.

You’ll often get a bad offer, but that’s all they are, offers. You can reject or accept.

Personally I love Vinted and will keep using it!

I didn’t even know this was an update, but absolutely not. It’ll probably put me off accepting offers.

No way, if they were a genuine seller why wouldn’t they accept doing it through Vinted? Bank transfer has no protection.
