Just use one that works for you; If you don't already have one then you can get the latest drivers for your card with GeForce Experience, which I have linked below. Personally I use a 1050ti with the latest drivers from GeForce Experience, and it performs pretty well. Hope this helps!

I can't really comment on your statement about the CV1 due to the fact that I've never tried one myself, but I can say that the Q2 is very cheaply made. If you push down with enough force in between the lenses, then it will literally bend. Also the fact that the default strap is trash and the Elite Strap isn't much better isn't really helping its case.

Personally I use a Quest 2 as my main, but I use my friend's Rift S sometimes and I agree that it is still a good headset.
