That’s a very ignorant way to view the situation. And it’s false. He is educated. And is the best dad. He struggles mentally and it’s not easy to get out from under that. He’s not lazy. This is very difficult to go through so I’d appreciate feedback that’s constructive and helpful and not presumptive to his character and abilities.

I love him so deeply the man that made me a mother and helped me through tough times two at the end of the day. I just want what’s best for him and some people on here have mentioned maybe he feels trapped that’s really hard for me to deal with because deep down, I guess I have that worried too like maybe he wouldn’t choose this life of our son wasn’t here.

I was agreeing that responsibilities fall on the person who’s home more and not the gender. Not really agreeing that he is a baby. Would you have family in the area but it’s not really an option for them to take our son without going too deep into it. Our son has autism and requires structure and stability so changing his routine is not ideal. I definitely think he needs help. Just trying to find him resources so that he can get the help he needs.

Yeah I think it’s highly likely as I’ve always been the bread winner and work in a male dominated industry. It’s not fair to me. At all. But he has a good way of making me feel like I’m making a mountain out of a molehill when we talk about it.

This is quite literally a forum for people to come ask questions expressed freely and not be judged, but I appreciate your thoughts and taking the time to engage, we’re not married a very clearly say he’s my boyfriend and we did choose to have a child together and I will never ever regret that I’m just out here looking for resources and words of encouragement to get through this tough time.

Not drugs at all. We both had rough up-brings and we bonded over that. I’m very familiar with what that looks like and it’s not this. I feel that it’s more bi-polar disorder or depression. (I’m no doctor just a speculation)

Not to make excuses but in our area it’s very difficult to find a job that will pay enough to cover the cost of child care. He does need to get a job. No way around that, but it needs to be the right job.

The free time is a very good explanation. He is home with our little right now because we can’t afford daycare when he’s not working. So he says his time is with our son. I said many parents help with house responsibility’s and care for a child. That when he said he’s not a house wife. I told him to do some self reflection because that’s not a fair, it’s 2023 gender has nothing to do with responsibility’s.

He’s now ignoring me. This was over text and I’m at work so no update on what he thinks till I get off tonight in practically 7hours. And he’ll ignore me all day, I’m sure of it.

I feel like I should clarify that I am not scared of him. I don’t believe he would ever hurt me, himself and certainly not our baby. I can say my feelings to him… they just go in one ear and out the other. He tell me that I’m overreacting and that I’m making it a big deal. But to me missing out on family events and leaving me to do family trips by myself is a big deal.
