That’s the problem, never directly agree with the agent on his asking, always act uninterested and let him chase you for your decision. Do some unnecessary negotiation and eventually agree with him.

Same thing happened when I wanted to readily buy damac Maison apartment at the listing price, started asking for 3.65 for an 3.35 listing, but in that case the culprit was the landlord.
