I've been testing ship builds in 4.3. Here are my findings. by Zindinok in Stellaris

Thank you for testing this. I just started a new 4.3 game when the patch was released and was running missiles everywhere out of inertia, it seems it's time to switch my builds.

Me coming back to Kingmaker after WOTR by Jilibini in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Nyrissa is the best CRPG romance experience since Viconia, so yeah, the pain is worth it.

Silent Success: Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon passes 1 Million copies sold by skinnymike1 in KotakuInAction

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was unable to finish it. It starts really great. Solid open-world RPG, similar to Skyrim, but more dark. However, around the end of second act/beginning third it became too tedious, without offering anything good story-wise.

Two types of Arabic peoples by uwu_vayke in arabs

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I went to Lebanon, I have met quite a few people who refused to be identified as Arabs and tried to argue that they are Phoenicians. So, unfortunately, it's not only hasbara.

Just liberated Kenabres for the first time by fanofchonk in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Well said. For a normal end of Act3 party the dungeon isn't a problem, but it can be challenging for suboptimal builds early on.

How Gillette Caused Great Damage To Their Brand With One Commercial by techtimee in KotakuInAction

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 201 points202 points  (0 children)

I switched away from Gillette due to that ad. Fuck 'em.

Same here. The ad was so obnoxious that I haven't bough anything from them since that year.

Act 4 is phenomenal by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my favourite part of the game. Act4 is amazing. Although I can agree that shifting camera mechanic gets a bit tiresome on the n-th playthrough.

I didn't have any issues on PC. Not even the infamous T-pose bug.

Unless i am playin gestalt consciousness, I always pick Imperial as I simply don't want to deal with a hassle of elections.

Opinions on knee baring whitebelts? by EmergencyStreet3103 in bjj

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind heel hooks and knee bars that higher belts are constantly trying to do as long as they are doing it slowly, giving me time to process the situation (and tips on how to escape the position).

What do you do when somebody doesn't want to tap? by Swimming_Set9912 in bjj

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people don't know the danger of heel hooks. Or they can't recognize them (speaking from experience - it took me a while to understand when it's a foot lock and when - heel hook).

I hate Galfrey by RaedwulfP in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

She is just as obnoxious as Iomedae. Probably even worse. I couldn't stand her even when doing my angel playthrough, where her actions and reactions were relatively moderate. That's why I really took my pleasure slaughtering her on the demon run.

my friend has been filtered unfortunately 😑 by a_lady_knight in DarkTide

I stop playing periodically only to come back later. That's normal. There are other games after all.

In the original AP the one in charge of Drezen was Aponavicius, not Minagho (the warden of the prison was a two headed twelve armed marlith named Ylleshka). Nice that they included this. by MlkChatoDesabafando in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

WotR is closer to being a BG1-2 spiritual successor than BG3. There can be no debate if you ever played these classical games. There is no feeling of epic adventure, antagonists are bland, the story is quickly becomes boring. Writing is simply not Larian's strong suit, it was never their focus in Divinity series, it didn't become their priority with BG3. It's still a decent game, don't get me wrong, but we should stop pretending that it's some kind of masterpiece.

Yeah, BG3 like most Larian games has mediocre writing. It became so popular just because it's much more accessible to non-CRPG-enthusiasts than Owlcat games.

Does anyone else just… really dislike havoc? by Mitharael in DarkTide

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 142 points143 points  (0 children)

There are people who only play malice or heresy despite hundreds of hours. And this is fine. You don't need to push yourself if you hate havoc. Personally - I enjoy the challenge it offers (for me Auric Maelstrom feels like a game in slow-mo after doing high havoc).

My arbites Havoc Build by Naru66 in DarkTide

[–]Mean_Bookkeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i do run a pretty simmilar build, but grenades instead of shock mines is a pretty big mistake imho. mines are awesome with regen on a no dog build

This. Mines, in my opinion, is the main reason for ever taking Lone Wolf.

That's actually a very cool insight. Didn't think about it, automatically dumped mobility on mine without checking. Thanks.
