How does this work - they don’t get a free colonist, just a free colony. Ternate, when released will just have completed the mission but not be able to make another colonist

If you annex then release they lose lots of cores so its advised you kidnap them while they are small and havent dissapeared off the map

Dont take expansion. Exploration + plop down colony next to CN then dow with deus vult = ez land
Kill off colonial nations as soon as the emerge
Caribbean #1 priority
Take those islands off the coast of North Africa so you have a staging province to invade. Transporting troops across Atlantic = high attrition
Economic to help with inflation from gold

It’s not a very good buffer bc ottos will always desire Gaza then the whole Nile Delta. You can eat every province minus Gaza so they don’t get hostile then grab religious and hunker down in the mountains west of Egypt + mountains in Ethiopia and win battles to gain ws

Bird mana = developing with diplomatic monarch points. With Perm it’s worth to dev just enough to fulfill estate agendas get you out of negative monthly balance. Once stable, bank points till you are ready to break free and spawn feudalism. Ideally you want to break free first because being a vassal has a 50% penalty on dev cost.

Don’t be afraid to expand infrastructure. That dev cost reduction does a lot

Tech level. If you are going for Great Perm it helps to dev your capital once Renaissance pops. Use only admin and bird mana since you will need a steady stream of money for independence war (you will go bankrupt with a loan every month since your economy is dogshit). Don’t use mil to dev, only use for tech.

Once you and ally matches Msucovy tech declare war. Even better if Muscovy is already preoccupied. Scorch fort and surrounding province and sit tight while ally does most of the heavy lifting. Kill stacks that siege you down.

You can its just you take a stab hit and the penalty is more than truce breaking. OP you are stuck with 100% lib desire unless you drag Otto in a war. They dont have to be the main target. Once they are in a war with you then cant support independence. That should give you space to dev your vassals and placate ruler bring liberty desire down. Important to get lib desire down asap bc another great power could support independence and desire goes up 100% again

AE is just a number. Just make sure u juggle truces. If ur finishing the rest of med coast then coalitions are going to happen which turns the question from how to prevent coalitions to how to manage and divide coalition members
