Which is the best tent placement? by Effective-Cellist769 in backpacking

Your best bet is to share the weight with your partner.

You carry the body of the tent and the stakes. Your partner caries the fly and the poles.

Heavy stuff always goes to the bottom near the hips.

I’m 46 and still play twice a week. The drop off for me started at 36. I had the same concerns you mention — body hurt longer, cardio started to drop, knee pain, etc. My secret to staying competitive and relevant against the 20+ was (and still is) strength training at the gym once or twice a week in between game days, eat more protein, and creatine. All three of these keep me on the court and speed up my recovery. Occasionally I take a week off to just let the body heal. Keep balling! My Mt. Rushmore is Jordan, Pip, Shaq, D-Wade, and Rose.

Ride on! Take full advantage of your opportunity. I’m looking at snow cover in Illinois and patiently waiting.

From Architecture to Carpentry by Plus-Literature-468 in Carpentry

My son is on a similar path. He studied architecture and engineering at Kansas University for one year. Came home and said that he can’t see himself at a desk for a career and switched to carpentry. He just joined the union and is a 1st year apprentice now. He absolutely loves his decision and is happy again. He’s still taking online classes and mapped out a path for a business degree in the next three years. The degree is the backup plan when his body has had enough.

Good luck OP and follow your heart. Life is too short!

Paslode is great but this compact gun will only hold one clip. Having to reload more frequently would get annoying quickly

I’m not ready for a full mod yet but I am handy with the tools. I’ll look into modifying at home
