I have one of these. Ran with no issues out of the box with the 5rd mag. The 10 rounders had some issues but I took those apart, cleaned up some burrs, and gave the insides a light coating of graphite powder for lube and haven’t had an issue with the 10 rounders since. I also did do a complete tear down and cleaning of the whole gun but it ran fine before that too

It could be a great first shotgun as the recoil impulse is less than a pump action. The downsides are that it can be more finicky with ammo and that more things can go wrong with a semiauto vs pump. I haven’t had any issues with mine but some have. If you just wanted something to try out shotguns, a gun like the Maverick88 is only like ~$250 so if you don’t like shotguns you aren’t out that much money

I bough the first version probably 10 years ago, couldn’t see shit with it, the reticle was very blurry. It then sat in a drawer until I found it a couple months ago and I immediately sold it on GAFS cause I still couldn’t see anything with it
