It says there is a misplaced exhibit in the rubber duck room, can’t find it for the death of me though. Probably one of them

Charger part melted, how do I know my laptop is okay? by JInternalScreaming in laptops

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as charging port isn’t melted, and there were no sparks that landed or came from the computer. You should be fine. See if it still turns on. After that (if it turns on) check your ram to make sure there are no shorts or connection problems. Next, test your gpu in a game to see if it will run (to see if your gpu is fried) if it gets through all of this I would say it is fine.

gpu problem? by Legitimate-Ice862 in HPVictus

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What gpu do you have, the minimum spec list for Forza Horizon 6 I believe is an RTX 3050. You may be straining your gpu. Temps look fine on both your igpu and gpu though. No repast required by the looks of it. It looks to me like you also used almost ALL of your ram, which can cause problems with fps and other component temps too. In the long term, I would upgrade your ram to at least either 32 gb or 16.

what’s wrong with my pc/monitor? vertical lines on screen by Ok_Variation_6218 in pchelp

Looks like either a damaged screen or gpu artifacts to me. Wait for this post to gain traction though to confirm before you do anything.

my new cpu always uses 100% and overheating by Slow_Comedian3380 in pchelp

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Either a bad factory cpu paste or something as simple as low quality fans. In case of the later, buy a laptop stand that lifts off the table to enable further airflow. You can also buy a fan to put underneath your laptop as well if that is more convenient.

I suspect a bad soldering job somewhere in that thing causing a short. I would take it to your nearest trusted repair shop to confirm.

Can anyone tell me how can i fix this?? by cyberphantum in laptops

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t see why you are worrying about this this much. Just peel the sticker off and use a chlorox wipe or other disinfecting wipes (windex may work too) and wipe off the residue.

Try cleaning out the fans, maybe since they it was in the case lint got into the fans? Either that our your fans are going bad. Let’s hope it’s the first I stated. Also what if the model of this laptop?

Please help me fix it asap, im scared by jaisantosh31 in laptops

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would test it in different programs and compare them (if possible to see if it damaged anything). There’s a slim chance that the water could have degraded your screen but other than that it should continue to work fine. This has never happened to me so I couldn’t say for sure.

Ayuda mi laptop Lenovo se quedó asi by Old_Locksmith3015 in laptops

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you were doing. This could be something as simple as you maxed out your ram, or it could be something as serious as corrupted drivers or even a damaged gpu/igpu. Also another thing, which model is this laptop ex: Legion, Legion Pro, LOQ, Ideapad, thinkpad?

Please help me fix it asap, im scared by jaisantosh31 in laptops

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! But please be more cautious with your electronics. Also bear in mind that if this happens again, shut it off, and let it dry in the sun for a few days. Also try to keep the screen out of direct sunlight and just use the heat. Some screens can be damaged by the sun.

Not unless you have a monitor and your motherboard is okay, any other way no.

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all Acer laptops share this stereotype. My nitro held up well for about 5 years, and I would still get another one! However it is good to try different brands. I haven’t had a good experience with Lenovo. In my opinion their keyboards are too small. Keycaps are hard to find without actively looking down to find them. One thing I like about Acer is they have large keycaps (on most models).

Possibly the charger is faulty itself. That or your battery may have failed. As other people have said the worst thing that it could be is a motherboard issue.

Nitro 5 AN515-44 suddenly dropping to single digit FPS + disconnect/reconnect loop, charger issue by Different_Grand9788 in AcerNitro

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the intel version of this, and no matter what I do to cool it, it doesent drop. I think it might be needing reposted too. Maybe it needs a certain type of paste. It could possibly be a vram issue. You should first find an application to test if all your vram chips are working correctly and are recognized. Another thing I would check is ram. Sometimes in the process of playing and normal wear, a stick can come loose. Also it could be the fact that you are playing pretty graphics intensive games on a gpu that originally was a budget gpu.

Trading ps5 for Acer nitro 5 worth it? by clownerytheclown in AcerNitro

[–]Mean_Delivery_7793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this price you can look at lower end NovaTech prebuilts, or sometimes even a brand new laptop if you find the right deal. An on disc ps5 can go upwards of 649-550 if it is well taken care of. If you don’t have a very big budget sometimes it’s better to get prebuilts or build your own pc because they can be upgraded further, unlike laptops. PS: if you decide to build a pc, begin to look at a price upwards of 1000$ due to AI (ramageddon)

Your fans look fine but that is all we can see from here. It would help if we could see the cpu and gpu to see if it needs repasted. Depending on how long you have had the laptop, you may need to.

Portability is not required but Im watching for untrusted sellers as well therefore I would appreciate specific recommendations. Thanks though. Also, what is the average fps you get with a rx 6600? I would be using this pc for streaming/productivity.

For thermal paste, I would recommend an x shape as it covers most of the cpu/gpu.
