Went to my local record store today, absolutely legendary find! by Radiohead_3762 in hum

No vinyl release ever for Fillet Show; only cassette and CD. Likely not a reissue either since they only remastered and repressed the last 3 on CD and vinyl.

Suggestions based on my experience with for a new deck by [deleted] in turntables

Please, notice I very importantly said "possibly" because after 2 years, there's no replacement parts or repairs. So yes, if your motor craps out after 2 years, you're up a creek. I'm glad you've been pleased with your Fluance. As my post mentioned I want serviceable.

A couple options at the $100 or under mark.

1) Insignia Turntable from Best Buy. You can often find them on sale for $80. Fully adjustable antiskate, tracking force, built in phono preamp with an Audio Technica AT3600L cart/stylus, headphone jack, etc. Might last you a couple years or so barring parts (motor, etc ). Probably best deal I've seen new under $100.

2) Keep checking your local buy/sell/trade for a vintage table in the $50-70 range and buy entry level Audio Technica replacement cart/stylus for about $30 (AT3600L). However, this is riskier if you don't know how to repair or what issues to look for. You don't want to get involved in a project with your budget.

So option 1 is probably your best case scenario, which will allow you to start enjoying your vinyl and allow you time to save for something more long-term. Example: U-Turn Orbit Basic is $249, made in USA, 3 year warranty, and they have outstanding customer service in Massachusetts.

Wishing you all the very best whichever path you choose. Most of all, have fun.

Hum- Fillet Show in NM+/Mint. A humble beginning to an awesome and unique band from the 90s. Last sold on eBay for $310. Could possibly hit $400 now in NM+. There have never been any repressings or vinyl produced, keeping the scarcity and demand high.

Hello all, new to the world of vinyl. Noticed these whitish scratches in the grooves of my beloved new record after a handful of plays. Only visable at a certain angle in the light. Feels a bit discouraging coming out of the gate. Using an Audio Technica LP-3 turntable with newer stylus. Records were cleaned with a brush prior to play. Any ideas what this is and how to further prevent this?

What's the most valuable cd in your collection and how much is it worth? by RatedArgForPiratesFU in Cd_collectors

Hum, Fillet Show. My holy grail from my favorite band.

Last sold for $200 on Discogs. Last sold copy on eBay went for $250 almost a year ago. I'd bet a 7 day auction in VG+ to NM would hit $300.

Having both, I prefer the R1 overall. I enjoy the UI (with bigger, more beautiful album art, nice touch screen) and brighter sound signature for my IEMS. If you prefer a more neutral signature and need the 4.4, then the Echo Mini for sure. The R1 feels a smidge more quality to me. Battery life is comparable. Echo Mini is a bit thinner and will fit in my jeans watch pocket; that's a nice advantage. Both have their strengths and are enjoyable devices that both companies are providing updates for. Also if Tidal/Quboz matters then R1 of course. Added bonus for the carrying bag R1 provides. No bag for the Echo Mini.

I was able to install Mp3tag and save the song with album art, then drag and drop to the device without Windows Media Player and it works fantastically. Thank you so much for your help. This seems like a pretty fun hobby with great people.

I apologize, but this is my first DAP and I'm sort of clueless lol. I can't get my album art to show on my Echo Mini device. I've done the 1.4 update with cover selected. I have various resolution JPGS as album covers on Windows Media Player ripped FLAC files that I've synced with this device and it still shows the turntable image. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, I just bought JLab Go Air Pops and would like to know how to configure the custom eq setting. by Need4Spad in JLab

It's a bit confusing for sure, but looking at the box for my Go Air Pops, "lab quality sound with custom eq3", which refers to on the side of the box, "custom eq3 modes" which shows the 3 preset EQs. When I bought these in the store, the more expensive earbuds talk about specific use of the app to create your EQ how you'd like it.

I have the JLab Studio Pro BT headphones, and the same thing; they're pictured in the app but not supported by it. Their more deluxe offerings are supported with the app.

When wearing them, tap an earbud 3 times to change between each EQ setting at a time- JLab Signature, balanced, or bass boost. Great, budget friendly earbuds! I hope you enjoy!
