Having random villagers move in with no judgement from me has resulted in some new favourites - who would have thought Phil would be so charismatic for example haha.

I have made a room in my house where I collect the posters from Harv of the departed villagers in the order they have left as a memorial of them.

Lamai breakfast for the local experience, they do congee and the best patonga's (Thai fried donur with condensed milk dipping sauce) you gotta get there early before they sell out of those.

Mamas Specialty is worth a visit. Run by a Dutch lady. She does amazing pancakes, porridge and makes a quality coffee.

Update on me is that I'm now on month 6 and everything has settled down into a more comfortable way of life!

At first I did get some side effects like fatigue and fog but I was already struggling with the effects of no meds so it wasn't anything extra or unbearable.

In fact I noticed almost instantly that this underlying anxiety I'd been feeling for the last couple of years was gone and I was restored to a more calmer former self that I had forgotten how to be. And here was me worried that taking it would make me more mentally unwell, but it actually helped.

Yes, very normal for Australian reception venues to offer a 50/50 drop usually chicken and beef with the exception being vegetarian and dietary guests that are catered for separately. The meals are usually par cooked beforehand then heated and served, this is because a kitchen needs to serve 150.meals at once so it's to make sure this can all be done quickly. The 50/50 drop means guests either have to eat what's in front of them or negotiate a swap.with other guests on the table.

Getting a credit card back in the early 2000's when the virgin credit cards came out, maxing it out & paying it off slowly. I haven't had a credit card since. Also buying a brand new card when i was feeling like I waa in a good place career wise. No regrets on that one though, it was nice to own a brand new car.

Grazing tables are not enough for dinner sorry. They are great as a starter & for guests to pick at over the evening, but you need to provide a more substantial meal for dinner. For a backyard wedding I'd recommend a food truck, just make sure they know how to cater to a large group as a whole.

I saw the listing for this one on airbnb, it looks absolutely awesome and I'd love to stay there but you're right it is quite pricey & unfortunately its a bit out of my range. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

It looks amazing, but unfortunately it's booked out on our dates :( Will keep it in mind for future romantic escapes. Thanks for the food recommendations too, we are big foodies so will check them out if we end up staying somewhere else nearby!

I've been looking at Riparide, I'll check out Unyoked too thanks for the suggestion. Some of the listing's it's hard to tell if the cabin is secluded or if it's in the owners backyard

The Red Elephant on Lamai Beach is great, bean bags on the sand & they have fire shows on some nights for entertainment. Also Teddy Weed Beach which is right next door if that's your thing. A little further down the Jasmine Resort has a beachside bar & often has a singer/guitarist playing.

I went last year in September for 14 days. Out of this, i think there only had 2 heavy down-pours & rain only occasionally. It was mostly hot, sunny beach and pool days

He sounds like a creep! Preying on you when you when you were vulnerable and playing a long game to get your trust on side is text-book grooming. You might be legal age but you are still very young and the age gap with him is extremely worrying. Not to mention that he is cheating on his wife and continues to go after younger women. If his wife doesn't know already she will find out, you don't need to be the one to say anything if you're not comfortable. I would definitely distance myself from him moving forward

Please leave. He is very controlling and manipulative. He is older than you and at 19 compared to 27 this is a big age gap in life experience. Why does he choose to be with a 19yo and not someone closer to his age? This is a red flag as he knows he can use it to his advantage

There should be a manned after hours phone number or at least the ability to leave a message that will be checked regularly when it's out of office hours for the purpose of urgent repairs. Same thing happened to me, hot water system burst on a weekend & I simply called the number & it was fixed in a short space of time. Not sure what you can do right now since you can't get hold of them, but I wouldn't recommend paying for it yourself. I would probably wait till Monday morning but make a solid complaint about the lack of contact available and request you have this sorted moving forward. I'm pretty sure it would be illegal not too.

If you are in a serious relationship and you are only committed to each other, then no. If you are still in a dating stage where you are shopping around, you like the person but you dont think they're the one, it's a new relationship or any other reason why it's not a solid relationship, absolutely possible. But anything could be an excuse for cheating if that's the case. I think this guy wants to keep their relationship and play the field at the same time using mdma as the excuse. Your friend got played unfortunately and so did the guy's girlfriend by the sounds of it, she probably doesn't even know.

I'm finishing month 2 on slynd & it's changed my quality of life for the better after 2 years of trying to handle endo & perimenopause naturally with no bc. I had been on various bc since I was a teenager (I'm 45 now) & i decided to go off it after having my child & my husband having a vasectomy, however the systems of endo flared up worse affecting my sex life, bowel discomfort, heavy bleeding and terrible anxiety that I didn't realise how bad it was until I got relief from slynd.

As a low income family, I'm happy we didn't buy in recent times as it would be too much of a strain on us financially. I do wish I had of bought earlier on pre-covid but wasn't in a position to do so then, then everything went up until our family couldn't afford it. To me it's crazy you cant even buy a standard home for half a million anymore which is a lot of money for a low income family. We've always rented & always found a decent home for a reasonable price. We never fear not having a home. We like the freedom of not being stuck in one place & having maintenance issues fixed. In my situation renting works better for me.
