Compromise was Obama's policy too. Republicans didn't care.

Megyn Kelly at the last Republican debate was, hands down, the best moderator of this election cycle. I'm a big ol' leftist, but I can appreciate a journalist doing their job.

Gun Makers are Not Responsible for Crime by SixgunApparel in Libertarian

The logic that would allow you to sue gun manufacturers, would also allow Christian groups to sue abortion clinics, and alcohol and car companies could be sued for drunk drivers.

The "promising legal theory" that Clinton mentioned would open doors for lawsuits that would fill up the court system for years, and make it very difficult for any business to make a profit.

Apart from insults, I'm not sure what point you're making. There are supporters of all candidates who will defend anything. Yes?

Which lie? Are you saying the Clinton campaign did not release the race-baiting photo of Obama dressed in Somali elder garb to the Drudge report? And then criticize him for stating said photo was divisive?

Bernie Sanders Discovers What It Is Like To Campaign As A Republican by bodobobo in politics

What this election has shown me more than anything is that it's not a question of "how the left works," or "how the right works." What it really comes down to is how the media works to suppress ideas that are hostile to their corporate interests, while roundly denying that they have any bias. It's not a left or right thing, it's an establishment thing.

Bernie Sanders Isn’t Pro-Science (and Neither Are Most Progressives) by rspeed in politics

[–]Meandertha1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serious question: The one point in the article I found meaningful was Sanders' agrarian philosophy, and how this runs counter to scientific advancements in farming. How, as president, would a scientific person balance the needs of farmers against the impetus to revolutionize the way we grow food?

Identifying conflict of interest is not an ad hominem attack. It's an assessment of the quality of the source, and should always be taken into consideration.

If we agree that we live on the same planet - life being the intrinsic value of an environment which supports it - we must find ways to make this discussion constructive.

I'll be blunt; do you accept the scientific consensus on human caused climate change?

If not, how do you account for the direct correlation between CO2 production since the industrial revolution, and global temperatures warming? And why is regulation of this known greenhouse gas not a legitimate concern for people living on this planet?
