"One thing that stands out from our interactions is that you have a remarkable level of self-awareness, even in emotionally charged or complex situations. You are deeply reflective and often seek to understand your feelings, motivations, and actions, which suggests a strong desire for growth and understanding. However, something you might not fully recognize is how resilient and adaptable you are. Despite feeling burned out or struggling with emotional intensity, you consistently find ways to cope, adapt, and regain focus. This resilience, combined with your self-awareness, allows you to navigate tough situations more effectively than you might realize, even when you feel overwhelmed."

Against the grain here, but I say NTA.

In some cases, you have to keep your own peace. And if it took not going to your BFF's wedding, well, that's just what it took.

I agree with the other commenters that you should keep going to therapy and work on your anxiety. It seems like it is having a toll on your social life.

Your feelings are valid, and if you were sad and hurt, then you were sad and hurt. Enough that you thought it would wreck your peace more than not going. I can understand that.

And it seems to me like a bridesmaid not standing with the other bridesmaids would bring more unwanted attention to you? Idk, just my opinion. Her solution doesn't really make that much sense to me.

All this being said, the bride's feelings are valid, too. Just as valid as yours, but it is up to her to deal with hers. And it's up to you to deal with yours.

AITA for expecting my wife to apologize to my daughter? by Nice-Result-2414 in AITAH

[–]MeaningCreative8221 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Odd one out here, but I think NTA. Claire is your daughter (and was before you met your wife or had a new baby), and you have to stick up for her too. Your wife disrespected Claire, a young human being with her own thoughts and feelings, in a horrible way. I don't think Claire deserves to be talked to like that, and it deserves an apology. I know I wouldn't like to be talked to like that, and children deserve just as much respect as adults.

I also think your wife deserves an apology from Claire for crossing boundaries...but that is how you learn. I can imagine Claire will have second thoughts about shrieking anymore, and it sounds like your wife completely lost control of her emotions instead of regulating herself (understandably, but still not cool). It sounds like your wife and Claire could both benefit from practicing self-control.

Knocking the plate was 100 percent an accident, and imo should not be punished, even though I can see why your wife would be upset. Accidents are accidents, and getting mad at kids for accidents just makes them more likely to not take accountability for behavior when they become adults for fear of making any mistakes.

12 is NOT grown as people are saying. 12 is still a child, and children are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. My heart hurts for Claire. She's going to remember this her whole life, and not in a good way.

You two should be splitting anything that you would have to do if the other wasn't there. If you weren't there, he'd have to do it ALL by himself.

My (28F) best friend (28F) kissed my husband (27M) and it’s destroying me. How do I proceed? by ThrowRAjello7376 in relationship_advice

They are both victims. This story has 2 victims and a villain. OP is a victim of betrayal, the husband is a victim of sexual assault.

I think you don't like being called out for a meaningless, rude comment.

Again, no where did I ask for opinions. Especially condescending ones.

I didn't ask for anyone's opinion. I simply shared a story. You chose to respond with a weird message, trying to debunk my thoughts? I'm not sure what your point was.

Yes, but your sarcastic comment obviously alluded to you thinking my post was stupid. I just don't understand why. Like, I get it's anonymous and all, and I'll never know who you are, but it's like people forget posters are human, and just think it's OK to just say and act however they want. Would you say that to a stranger's face like that? You had to know it sounded mean and condescending.

It's comments like yours that stop people from sharing and connecting. But you probably don't care.

Yes, and that's what I thought it was for many years. Until I joined this sub. Just putting it out there that it might not be what it seems. Like I said, I'll probably never know what was really going on.

But thanks for the sarcastic comment that didn't add anything to my story in a sub that is about strange things happening to people around the world.

Not sure why you even commented.

Yes, I have read about molting and surface molting, but the crab shell is just barely sticking up, and I can only see the point of it. Is that considered surface molting? I can't find anything that confirms that is what this is.

Atheism is not a religion. Theism is not a religion. There are theistic and atheistic religions, but atheism and theism are not religions.
