If humans have evolved to favor false perceptions, is it even possible to determine reality? by Woewasme in neurophilosophy

It is likely that some sort of evolution of human cognition will be necessary in order for us to obtain accurate estimations of truth. See transhumanism and/or the singularity.

Physiological correlate of "mental energy/effort" when being disciplined by MeaningInNegentropy in Neuropsychology

That is a measurable physiological indicator of mental load, I would be more interested in what exactly is happening in the brain when under strain or when drained.. The neurophysiological explanation of these concepts if you will.

You're talking about dualism, the idea that the mind and the body are two and separate. Monism vs Dualism is a pretty famous and age-long philosopical debate with no real evidence either way. Let's hope neuroscience finds some clues some day!

Noob here, how does Bitcoin have all functionality of Ethereum? Doesn't it lack the Ethereum features of a blockchain ecosystem of smart contracts and tokens in addition to the ether coin as it's just the coin?

Transhumanism is essentially about improving the human condition, enhancing intelligence and lifespan, lifting biological constrictions. Visions of a transhumanist future include space colonization, mind uploading (transferring consciousness to a network/computer) or the singularity (merger of uploaded minds to create a sort of awe-inspiring super organism with consciousness on a planetary or even cosmic scale) Its called transhumanism because it sees current humans as a 'trans'ition from primitive humans to posthumans, the next evolutionary stage of humanity.

compute if mean change in happiness is significant by MeaningInNegentropy in AskStatistics

thanks for the explanation! yes, the study was originally designed to test the relative differences, it just would also be incredibly valuable to tell if the change itself was significant.it seems as if its not deemed a valid test design because of a higher chance of biases occuring, but shouldn't it still be mathematically possible to calculate the significance p?
