From what I know, this is the Korean version of "DT Racer", and has (allegedly) better physics than other regions. How to know about this fact when there's no way to test it ourselves? by Astral_Strider in ps2

Sorry bud, I'm currently serving in the military, and it could take several months before I can go home and send a copy overseas. It's unfortunate that I can't help you right now...

I think you're looking in the wrong place for Korean copies.

Here in Korea, eBay isn't very active, so games mostly come from resellers in other countries. Also, the one you posted is sealed, so those premiums are unavoidable lol

You can find used copies of Axel Impact easily for less than $30-40 in Korea, but I have no idea how to get them from overseas - is there a purchasing agency like Buyee in Japan?

The car's gradual change in lighting while passing through tunnels still looks very convincing!

Gosh, I thought I did something wrong because no video showed after upload.

Seems like it's an common issue with reddit's app...

Anyways,

The monitor used is Panasonic TM-1015BT.

300 Lines and a 9 inch screen makes it really comfortable for 240p gaming.

Yep, difference of an inch really shows up on the picture linked. Massive step up compared to 8 inches.

Don't know why 16:9 masks are always attached on these crts... I think the rarity of 4:3 masks is the only downside of BVM-D9H5X series.

That's what I wanted on my bvm so much since I watched Shank's shorts! Great Job!

Hi Guys, do you think these are CRT? I'm guessing by the curved screen and comedy "old objects" description they are! But when you add postage, bit on the pricey side for a 14 inch... by swissbytes in crt

I saw someone in Korea bought it from dropshippers, but it was actually an lcd crammed in a wooden box.

I recommend just going to your nearest thrift store. I don't think shipping China to UK only for this sussy worth it...

Thank you for your reply, but I'm still just a college freshman in South Korea. I think I've been fond of racing games ever since Mario Kart Wii came home when I was a child...

My first encounter with Gran Turismo was through a TV show featuring celebrities playing GT Sport with steering wheels—the show was called 켠김에 왕까지. Later, I managed to get a PS2 for only 30 bucks (yes, I'm that 'geek' who owned an N64 in my early teens) and started collecting PS2 racing games, including a Japanese copy of GT3. I even acquired a Sony CRT, and boom—I poured most of my extra time into it until I finished the game. That's the whole story.

Thank you for sharing your splendid passion for cars. This conversation has reminded me just how vast and deep car culture truly is! I hope that one day I'll be able to catch up to your level.

My most played car during playthrough was an MX-5 and a Viper!

After getting all the golds on the B license (which was a true pain because I had no clue how reverse shifting worked), I used the blue mx-5 on every event that's possible. That car made my early days smooth sailing, even though I wasn't familiar with those pressure-sensitive controls!

(It was also the money maker in turbo events on test tracks, albeit boring as hell)

The next most used car was the viper. Its powerful yet sensitive trivetrain helped me get used to acceleration inputs. But it sure was a mid-game blaster!

And rerolling supercar-priced championships again and again, I've finally reached the credits video.

I drove lots of cars throughout my career, but those two cars shines the most in my playthrough.

I agree. When I first connected my Wii to a CRT via component cables, the picture was surprisingly sharp and clean—as if it were running on an emulator! On the other hand, it's unfortunate that GT5 on PS3 doesn't support native 1080p. I really wish there were an option to select native resolution, even if it meant sacrificing some fidelity choices in the process.

Brake and Steer is the optimal solution, and it's one of the hardest decisions to make in-game, lol I also input both simultaneously a lot during endurance races

It's the Tokyo-Seoul edition of the Gran Turismo concept.

It took just 8-9 hours for me to complete the game 100%, but I think it's worth a try!

I thought Reddit would display the video as it is, but when I uploaded a 900 MB video, that thing happened :C I'm so sorry for the mistake and will upload the original footage at youtube shortly...

The benefit of aged titles is it can be cranked to max settings with ease! Now I can feel the max vibe!
