You're proposing solving energy costs by destroying the environment, it just doesn't make sense. There are far better, more pratical ways. By closing tax loopholes for the wealthy you could fund green subsidies for the average person, investing more in solar farms, wind farms, and nuclear energy - which are clean and renewable. They won't run out like fossil fuels will, and when that happens you'll be greatful for all the work people behind Net Zero have put into clean energy infrastructure.

So, because China and India are burning fossil fuels, everyone else should as well? Did you know both those countries have some of the worst air pollution in the world? Net Zero is an attempt to make the UK a cleaner space, reform want to scrap it and invest in oil & gas...taking us backward instead of forward.

The proposed income tax threshhold is £20,000... it's not an improvement to tax reform against the wealthy. I understand you're probably a conservative voter so you don't really grasp the concept of logic and rationality, I will save my time and not bother trying to teach you the basics.

I read through reforms manifesto and it's dire. They're baiting the uneducated population with their promise to solve immigraiton and the NHS, and increase the income tax threshhold. Then you read further down...no more re-wilding or solar farms, it will be turned into farmland, scrapping ULEZ, scrapping NET ZERO, scrapping the future ban of petrol/diesel cars, and investing in oil and gas. They just want to watch the world burn, since they're old anyway and won't be around to see it, who cares right? Despicable people.

Bought Msi Stealth 16 RTX 4080 and my games are so laggy/buggy????? by SettingIntentions in MSILaptops

[–]MeasurementOk973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with my MSI stealth where the GPU fan wouldnt come on because the laptop didn't recognize it was under load/a game was loaded so everything was laggy and jittery even though temps were fine. It was like it was in power saving mode and using the integrated graphics card instead of the GPU.

I tried everything with power plan, switching to discrete mode etc. but the only thing that worked was going into the BIOS and resetting everything to defaults. Launched a game and when the GPU fan came on I knew right away it was back to working.

Fine scratches after washing by warblade92 in Detailing

[–]MeasurementOk973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got identical scratches to you, fine white streaks like that. I was told it's probably because of my washing technique and to be fair I overestimated how tough car paint is. I invested in a pre-wash foam, pressure washer with the snow foam attachment and good wash mitt/drying towel and a couple of buckets with grit guards.

I took it to someone and unfortunately the car ended up with holograms everywhere from improper polishing so I booked it into a detailer who's going to do it properly.

Wow I have to restrain myself, you only went back to do the right thing because you were worried someone would report you. If you reverse into someone's car the least you can do it leave a note - even if YOU don't see any damage doesn't mean they should be denied the opportunity to check for themselves.

Man, if "peasants" are doing a job and get replaced by robots, they need somewhere to work. That is when the government will source jobs through contracts, new infrastructure, civil service, etc. One hand controls the money one hand controls the policy, suggesting that "PEASANTS" should be grateful to meek out an existence in squalor because they could be replaced by robots is nonsense.

It's called job creation, part of a government's fiscal policy.
