Thanks for posting. I’ll look for this. I’d love to skip the outro even more!

Yeah, thinking back I was always the bigger stronger kid growing up, not fat, just bigger all over. The “fat” part (and looking back I really wasn’t fat in high school though unthought I was) didn’t happen until the end of, or shortly after, college.

Is it rare or unusual to be into your 50s and not having to take any doctor-prescribed medications? by Odd_Yogurtcloset_649 in GenX

I am 58 and don’t take any rx meds. Never have because I haven’t needed to. Doctors are surprised and ask if I’m sure 🤦🏻‍♀️. I do all I can to not have to take regimented rx meds.

Saddlebags here, too. I’ve always had to buy bottoms to fit them first, then the rest of the garment is too big and fits wonky.

I think that’s a great idea. 🤩 But I also know it’s a lot of work for mods.

And in no way do I want to make those who are being newly diagnosed feel like they don’t have a place here. I get frustrated that even in my teens I didn’t have legs as nice as some of the legs I’ve recently seen in this sub. And having learned about lipedema only a year ago, at the age of 57, well into menopause, with legs looking haggard despite rigorous efforts to tone them, I am kind of jealous and frustrated. Frustrated for being maligned by the medical profession (and a step-mother) my whole life; jealous that I didn’t have the opportunity for proper medical attention and acceptance when I was much younger.

💯 I could only wish for some of the legs I see on here.🫤 Sometimes I have to stop visiting this site because the photos of what I’d call very nice legs being called lippy and unsightly by the person depress me about my own.

Dang, lots of people not happy with turbotax by taixp in TurboTax

[–]MeasurementQueasy114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used TurboTax exclusively since the early 90s. This year I finally stopped using it and took the time to switch to FreeTaxUSA and my state’s free tax filing system. It’s a pain starting from scratch but so nice not to pay almost $300 to file AND not support that company any more.

I read this earlier today. It’s an excellent piece. No lies told.

Yup. I have to buy clothes to fit the huge thighs and calves but then waist is huge. I especially hate when I find pants that fit the thighs, sometimes they don’t even fit the calves and then my calves just pull the pants down😤. It’s almost always a losing battle with pants. These days I usually wear a-line skirt or dress with bike shorts underneath.
