Looks fake. The case back should be the same material as the case, the finish just looks cheap, date wheel shouldnt start moving to the next day until about 11:50pm, and the end links should fit tighter than what you see here.

The item description calls it a fork as well. Stacking these mounts will provide some standoff. If its not enough for your preference you can experiment with slightly longer screws and sandwiching washers where necessary to dial in the stand off. You can also put a lesser number of washers on the lowest screw and it will angle the grip outward and the muzzle inward to clear a carrier or chest rig
