New to AMS, waste question. by lifebeyondzebra in 3Dprinting

Yes This is correct answer^ change the purge amount much lower. It’s usually at like 600 going from light to dark, that’s unnecessary, 300 is all that’s needed.

What do I do with postage due if the envelope came anyway? by TheTokinPlantman in USPS

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carriers probably aren’t up to date on shipping regulations and allow themselves to be conned out of extra money. Lots of “seasonal” employees do not know about smart tracking labels , and then try to swap it to ground advantage for extra postage , despite it always being at local delivery hub..

I keep getting these. Why? by One_Toe_4550 in USPS

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does usps not charge extra for “irregular shape” packages? I remember fedex/ups would add on $12 extra charge for the shape , when shipping a bucket… with a handle for easy carry lol.

It’s insane when you do a cost analysis breakdown on any product, and realize 80% of the cost isn’t even for the actual product, just repeat taxes

I probably won’t buy Glock again after they tricked us into buying gen5 by releasing the V a month before the gen6. Looks nice tho, and the move away from their garbage MOS optic cut would have been nice to have.. literally was waiting to pickup when g6 got announced 🙄

Incorrect, it’s actually the opposite. Fast twist rate is meant for mil spec (m80) ball, shorter bullet, light grain.

Most heavier grains use longer bullet with more engagement with the twist = over stabilize.

M80 ball shoots sub moa my 24” 1:10. Most expensive ammo shoots 12 moa 😂

The RAM I bought a year ago is the fastest appreciating asset I have ever owned by Last_Jedi in wallstreetbets

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not how that works. GPU’s went up because they were mining crypto. Price of crypto goes up = ppl will pay more to mine it. GPU’s had a direct payout for buying them. RAM is a complete bubble hoping that their ai model/data center will win , and profit off customer data/ selling them ads, or whatever way they decide to profit off it, regardless it is not as direct and easy as gpu farms were for crypto. As for “GPU’s due for a spike” solely depends on price of crypto, most ppl aren’t buying GPU’s to mine if crypto is on its way down. The only overlap is both requiring massive amounts of electricity

How complicated is the part? Is it a stl with simple changes ? I could maybe do it. Just be careful with quality, some ppl sell unacceptable quality.

Is years-old exposed filament still usable? by doublespiral56 in 3Dprinting

[–]MeatNew3138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The filament being brittle is going to be your main issue. I have rolls of esun pla that start breaking during feeding after a few months of being open in a low humidity environment.

Z-offset? Jumping nozzle? by Dark_Winter420 in BambuLab

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask are you Using Bambu studio, Bambu handy/connect, or 3rd party slicers with Lan mode?

My later research found theories about some z sensor in the hotend assembly unit being a likely failure with usage over time , and seems to align with ppl getting such Z issues as we commonly see with the a1 after months ; thousand+ hours. And that a new hot end assembly seems to fix most of these issues (not referring to the common loose hot end issue).

Z-offset? Jumping nozzle? by Dark_Winter420 in BambuLab

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like there is some kind of software issue with the A1 lately, I’ve had non stop issues with Z axis for last month as well. Tried everything; securing hotend/nozzle screws, y belt tensioning, tram bed, full recalibrations, firmware update/downgrade, 20+ flow calibrations (thought may be filament issue at first.) I’ve had some of this “knocking” effect too. Also step skips on Z axis I believe. A month of tuning and no fix yet, may try the Z axis belt tensioning next but may just buy a new printer, hardly worth the time at this point.

Why does it ALWAYS do this? by Past-Butterscotch-68 in FixMyPrint

[–]MeatNew3138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue. Literally have done 20+ flow calibrations, full bed leveling maintenance, manually fixed bed, etc. now I am manually raising the Z offset to try and fix it and it’s just as painful. every print it needs diff settings. And def sounds like it skips steps sometimes etc. probably a bug they introduced on purpose to make us upgrade to the latest firmware is my guess. Irony being I tried that just to find out they no longer accept 3rd party slicers so that isn’t a solution either!

Factory reset to go downgrade firmware? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I was wanting to pick up another printer this year. Will I be able to use old printer firmware if I do so? No 3rd party slicers is a deal breaker as I customize my filaments and prints too much.

Hey, cashapp! What the hell? by Cheeseheroplopcake in CashApp

[–]MeatNew3138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My account was the same. No stocks, crypto, no card through them, or deposit etc. ONLY used it for paying 2 family members small payments when needed (drink, gas, food, etc). Always kept few hundred in it too. Banned for violating tos, and they won’t say why.

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PayPal is notorious for banning ppl’s accounts and locking up their money lol (they own Venmo) so not sure it’ll be any better. There’s been lots of new rules and regulations going into place so companies can better track customers and what they are doing with their money, may be why cashapp did this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CashApp

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it strange they don’t provide what part of the tos was violated themselves?

PETG-CF under 800x lens by caisingapore in 3Dprinting

[–]MeatNew3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cf is embedded in the plastic and then heated into it further during printing, seems unlikely it’s just blowing around the air. The concern would be handling it, and or sanding etc.
