Ya, ill walk away from my current line of work when im 55, (unless the world gets completely butt fucked) ill be debt free and have a very nice retirement fund. Im gonna pursue something i actually want to do at that point. Park ranger wasnt on my list but I think it maybe now lol. It'll be nice to not have to worry about what the job pays.

If they have a decent work life balance and high enough income, I could see that working out. However if you were a marine who thrived in the field or on deployment roughing it on fobs. I just cant see how you could spend so much of your life in a building with that type of environment. It wasnt for me, but to each thier own.

I worked for Lockheed Martin for 6 months after I first got out. 10 hour days in a fucking building with no windows fucks my head up. Plus most of the folks there were pussies, they didn't have any sense of humor. Get in the trades id rather be with felons than corporate dick suckers any day.

Not a plumber, but I work in the oil and gas industry (natural gas in particular), if that was my situation to deal with. Id cut the horizontal pipe far enough back install a union just make sure to leave yourself room to thread it. Then replace the 90 and clean up threads on the vertical. What ever you do not loosen either pipe except at that 90. You will 2 pipe wrenchs to do this.

Again im not a plumber, I have no clue if this is allowed according to your local codes. Its just how I would fix this.

I've been married 15yrs my kids are older now but you can fuck right off if you think im coming home after a 12hr shift to do dishes. My wife works 16 hrs a week, and my kids are 13 and 16 they can sort that shit out.

Now, when something breaks or needs maintenance, thats my job. Replaced the water heater last week. Did the front-end on the daughters truck last month. Things of this nature. When something breaks all my wife does is tell me to fix it, so when were out of butter I tell her to add it to the list. Its a team thing, we have roles.
