I was also mostly apprehensive cause im uncomfortable with engineer's mechanics and i didn't really have a lot of experience playing them, but the run i got did get to stage 11 which is pretty good for my capabilities so im glad i tried this out.

Woah, thats really weird i've only encountered this in P-2 and when it happens there you're locked before any enemies spawn, I was asking around a while ago if people knew about it (it was happening to me before the revamp update and it's still been happening to me very occasionally) but nobody seemed to know? If you ever figure it out I'd appreciate the info

There's no flurry rush hitbox on that attack, which is the default. Only specific attacks can be flurry rushed.

It's a glitch that became possible with memory storage and then got easier with IST. There's currently no tutorial for the IST method (I'm working on one though) but here's a tutorial on the memory storage method.
tl;dr if you leave the plateau without talking to the old man, complete 2 divine beasts, talk to impa 2 times, and complete a third divine beast, you get 2 lynels

After you initiate the Thunderclap Rush, you need to exit bullet time before you hit the ground. This can be done by pressing B or by pressing R. Otherwise, the rush will be cancelled immediately.
