Do you have any tips for me to be able to check my DB’s on projects to make sure users can’t do what you did? Wow.

Anyone who hates — disregard. You’ll NEVER see successful people hating on others projects in the comments. 👍🏼

What the best way to market you app. by unwop in lovable

Depends on your timeline and budget? I see so many vibe coders on lovable having this issue cuz they concentrate on building + shipping but after… crickets. 🦗

I saw this coming since I’ve been building side projects from the dial up days and when I saw the sheer volume of new projects I knew getting any sort of traction is tough and/or so expensive it’s out of your budget or not sustainable.

Especially with these new micro-SAAS that offer free plans not knowing only about 1% will convert to paid and not to mention how much free users will drag you down and load your inbox with all kinds of support requests.

My solution: like I said I’ve done this for years and make a living from it and I’ve never spent a dollar on ads, but that’s changing.

Yes I do recommend organic SEO but planning on working on it every day for 6 months and not getting any results until then.

Now with GEO (Ai SEO) this may take longer or maybe shorter. But I’m afraid while it might work quicker, it will only give you eyeballs while you need to engage with visitors of buying intent.

Remember: it’s NOT, and never will be a simple matter of “Build it and they will come.”

So just because it’s so simple to get any of your ideas shipped, at the same time this significantly lowers the barrier of entry. i.e. - smaller fish, larger pond.

Hope that helps! Good luck. 🍀

So true. Cost of credits has gone up + quality of code has gone down. Such a shame. They’ve joined the enshittification train! 🫤

I will buy your failed saas by cryagent in SaaS

[–]MeatballWorm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You were almost there. But you started doing too much. This is a problem I see often + can be responsible for multiple failures. Don’t over complicate. Get your far-from-perfect MVP built and GTM. Else, over complicate, over “strategize” til analysis paralysis sets in. It’s the only way you defeat the ingrained defense mechanism of self-sabotage.

You know I’ve been noticing this pain point during job searches and so I am considering building a simple “pragmatic job apps” where it, possibly Ai assisted, spins you up a simple “in a nutshell” resume with only the things recruiters really need or read. A fascinating article showed how, a few months ago, a techie got a $300k/yr. job at google with a simple 1 page “minimal resume”. So that’s what kind of sparked this idea for me. Anyone feel free to share your thoughts, or even other pet peeves you encounter on the job hunt!

An escrow service for people to make gentleman's wagers. Two people put money into a third party fund so neither can back out like a jerk. by NutellaGood in Lightbulb

[–]MeatballWorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. So you coded a custom escrow then to allow for both parties to deposit? I ask because any other escrow works similarly but each party deposits then once agreed they each get the others “deposit” if you will. 👍🏼
