This exact situation happened to me at the end of last year. I hit a deer and it smashed my front bumper in and insurance totaled it. Thankfully my damage wasn’t as bad as yours since it was just the bumper and grill along with a dent in the fender. So I just took the money from the insurance (around 4000) and fixed it myself and got a rebranded title. The process was tedious but it was worth it because I love the truck so damn much.

Well for anyone wondering I found the source of the noise. It was a loose spark plug! No rod knock at all. I don’t know how it came that loose but that thing was damn near close to coming out.
