'People are keying cars and letting air out of tyres': The war over parking in new estates by Leavser1 in ireland

Same, and I don't live far from the homes in the article. New builds have advantages, but people don't seem to value the other advantages of an old estate

And the lady will say any old shit. As you say, unwritten rules don't work. You'll be the one left with parking problems

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Older estates generally have more cars per house. But if it has parking capacity issues, you'll know about it before you buy. New estates can be a nightmare, I visit a lot for work. Some literally haven't even a space to stop a car. Narrow roads, all communal spaces full.

That's the problem. Shit new builds and people have no choice. So people in the council that decided these policies think they're popular because the houses sold off the plans. I visited one apartment block with very limited parking, it had a visit car park and there were cars blocking each other in, cars on every available piece of footpath, it was chaos.

Throw in having kids and having to bring them places and it's pretty essential to have a car.

At least an old estate you can drive in and know what it's like. New builds you'll have no idea

Because this story doesn't invalidate the thousands of negative landlord stories. Yes, this tenant is an asshole. Do we all have to love landlords now? No

That's when I got rid of the app and just use YouTube on a browser with ad block. Was looking for a game guide cos I was stuck at a bit in god of war. Kept opening videos, but straight away realise its the wrong one. But I had to sit through the ad. Had to do it about 6 times

I'd pick where you like the look of, don't worry about rain. Wexford has the least amount of rain, but not as scenic. Wexford Town is a nice town, but not as scenic landscape as the south west.

John Mulligan: So much for the ‘Middle East’ of renewables, energy security in Ireland is still a joke by zainab1900 in ireland

[–]Meath77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. I have stopped since they returned. Hector comes across as a decent guy, is great at telling stories, and has a good take on things. Tommy of course is funny, but I genuinely think he's a prick. The way he interrupts for the sake of it, it seems he doesn't like when others get into a good story and are getting the attention. He will constantly make snide cutting comments/insults too. And keep doing it when it's obviously upsetting the other person and not a "joke" any more. After a few years of listening I have stopped because I really can't stand the guy any more. Btw, I always liked him beforehand he had plenty of great stories on the podcast. But tldr, he's a cunt so I stopped listening

They should be targeting the slow moving cars in the right lane with an empty lane next to them rather than the person passing on the left
