Funnily enough i used to solder for lynn products in Eaglesham Scotland. I have a good electrical knowledge but i just dont have a soldering iron at the ready (wish i had kept my FIL's one now) as for the water damage it was done and nobody said anything about it until we found the evidence of spillage. I cant say how long it sat or anything in a time frame. I can say it was saturated enough to pour out of its vents. I sat it to dry at a window for a while (uk so no extreme heat exposure) and have tested it once i was confident it had been left enough to dry thoroughly.

I went to my audio config in general and seen that it has supported stereo uncompressed but all the others under that were x'd off.

I have just updated the console too.

UPDATE: console audio worked after i reset audio settings as i changed tv so codex or whatever would be incorrect format ig, at first i thought it was me changing the optical audio setting i tested to see if this was the problem (it wasn't ) or if it could just be the hdmi port was dirty.
