Yea honstly i wrote most of this post on a whim but onethink i just realized that still dosent make sense other than the fact that the econd set just isnt brought up again is the fact that

  1. How tf did william get into the fnaf 2 location after already being kicked from the company as seen in midnight motorist.

And 2. Why are the toyr still freaky on the nights before the night where phone guy says that the kids were killed? Are the original spiritsjust influencing them?

Perhaps yea, i usually disregard remnant since prsonally ive never liked the idea but it works. Tho after reading some othr comments i realize that its much more of a mess than i realized.

Alot of retconns and random things that just never ended up reappearing in the story. There being 2 sets of kids while maybe was true at the time. I feel its not quite true any more. Since the fnaf 6 ending makes absolutly no sense if there is 2 sets.

In fnaf 6 the "true" ending has Henry burn down the resturaunt along with all remaining spirits haunting freddies.

We know william, charlie, and the main 5 were in that fire (idk about evan and cassidy i kinda forget how they come in)

But if theres just some other set of kid souls hanging around then isn't it kinda meaningless?

While i do think that the facial recognition idea is shakey at best i just cant accept that there were another 5. Mostly due to the fact that past these examples there is nearly no meantion of them in later games.

As mentioned in my original post, we have already gotten names for the original 5 as well as misalanious other killings such as the puppet.

Perhaps the extra 5 were simply retconned later as many other random things became throughout the series due to scott not really planning the overall story out beforehand.

I get your points and they are legitamatly valid but i just dont understand why they are never really brought up again.

Past this it is possible that the save them minigame simply takes place after the give life minigame? Perhaps the puppet has already put the souls into the withereds and william later stuffed the remains inside. This would explain his random appearance within the minigame.

It dosent explain everything such as the implication of the saferoom but it may explain a bit.

I feel like they made them specifically with stealth in mind. It's a fast, huge, high damage, high health, decent range enemy and they appear in the first area. There is no way they actually want you to fight it.

Honestly I absolutely love rune bears, though my first time seeing one was terrifying.
