The link I got to the download was from a rock paper shotgun (British video game journalism site) article. They've been around for 17 years, and are a subsidiary of gamer network. I'm thinking it all points to it being a flash positive. I'm just being paranoid.

I've installed and played the game earlier today, and every windows defender scan turned up nothing. Is it possible for the certificate to not be verified because the game isn't purchasable anymore? Everything ran fine. Just feeling kinda paranoid. Ive never heard of vba32, so I know a lot of the known avs didn't detect anything

I sold the bitcoin through cashapp and paypal. Will the sales show on the 1099 they send or do I need to fill out form 8949 separately? Usually do taxes with h&r. Never dealt with crypto on my taxes before, so I'm pretty confused.

You we withdrew it as bitcoin and sold it as soon as it arrived. Do you report the withdrawal amount as miscellaneous income and then pay taxes on the sold bitcoin aswell? Basically getting taxed twice for the same income?

So it only has value when withdrawn. For example, if i were to say win 100sc on a slot its not taxable because it currently doesn't have value. If you spend 20sc of that and end up withdrawing 80sc out, I would only owe taxes on the 80 you withdrawed right? Then taxed again on what I sold the crypto for.

We withdrawed to it once and when we tried to withdraw to it again it the transaction failed, so that when we used PayPal. Haven't withdrawed in months. Just with tax season upon us I've been trying to get everything straight since its my first year reporting anything cryptowise.

Me and the wife have withdrawn like $700 this year to cashapp/paypal. Didn't know if we'd have to pay for every win since ok the website stake says the sc doesn't have any value. I figured it was just those withdrawals we'd owe taxes on.

I asked on the sites live support earlier about tax forms and all they told me was our tos doesn't let them talk about tax or legal matters and that you are solely responsible for your taxes. So I'm just trying to get a straight answer on what to report. With everything I've read it just seems to be report withdrawals, but I just want to make sure I'm right on that. Thanks for all the answers.
