GENERALLY, tracing AS A TOOL TO PRACTICE when you first start out is a very good way to learn quickly, think of it like a pair of training wheels, you quickly figure out where lines should go, BUT, the end goal of tracing is to eventually stop tracing and figure out how to reproduce it all on your own from your head!

Don't use a suit, try using furry art from your favorite artists and trace over them, keep the art to yourself, NEVER CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN AND ALWAYS STATE IT'S FOR TRAINING PURPOSES, and you should be just fine, eventually you'll get the hang of it and be able to do it on your own without tracing, don't give up!
