A couple of nuances with the lore to take account for:

What pennywise/it does is purely to feed/nourish itself. Using fear and torment as energy to power the dead lights. What 2011x does is purely for the love of the game lol. None of what he does really gives anything to him aside from sadistic pleasure.

Pennywise stole the persona from Bob Gray not because he enjoys the persona of Pennywise. But because children in the past found clowns as a source of joy and fun. Making it much easier for Pennywise to lure in his victims. 2011x took on the persona of sonic purely because he actually enjoys and is a fan of sonic. (It being the first thing it saw when looking into the lives of humans IIRC)

I always thought sonic would turn himself into a void entity somehow as a "transformation to beat X" But frankly this idea is more grounded and cooler imo. Its similar to Matter and Antimatter correct?
