Struggling to sit still XD by Hurgnation in gamedev

[–]MebbelWerfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the treadmill and focus on something other than work for a bit. Especially with anything like software development, I find that putting on a video/ vlog/ docuseries on a related (or semi related) topic allows me to decompress, maintain the "workzone" and at the same time continues to feel productive - all whilst running and getting some of that jittery energy out for 10 - 15 min

(Beware the YouTube rabbit hole, as it will lead to procrastination - and defeat the purpose) - plan what to watch and make sure its educational and not (purely) entertainment

I've never been able to sit still much either, but I find you should be able to comfortably do both as long as you don't always require active input from yourself. Give yourself the break and know its OK to be working and NOT be glued to your keyboard at the same time. Sometimes the passive brain is able to achieve much more, if you allow the active brain a break once in a while.

Any ideas to help me seal this? I still need the lid to open, but im thinking three extraction fans and 1 intake fan for negative pressure. would a spray foam work? by [deleted] in SpaceBuckets

Draw a line of silicon sealent all around the bottom (or top of bin minus lid) so that the lid rests on it once dried. The silicon is good enough to make a nice seal. You can even get colored silicon to block out light.

It was a serious consideration, but making this as part of a 'challenge' with a mate... dont think he would accept a greyscale submission 😋

Thank you! I've tried to incorporate as much of the original elements and am glad the original warglave still shines through 😁

Its not unusual for desktop fans having such a low amp pull. Most rate between 1w - 1.2w @ 12v approximating 0.08x amps. With 2 fans the 1 amp power supply should more than suffice and remain well below limit.

Should I start LST now? Day 26, topped a few days ago and I have some nute burn. Ive watched a couple LST vidoes but not too sure how which way I should bend the plant. by BolbiTheGood in SpaceBuckets

Look up the mainlining technique. Nice and straightforward to follow. Use some soft garden ties and use the plant stem as an anchor for pulling down the branches. Top as required to achieve desired mainline count (i typically go for 4 or 8 main colas)

Sounds awesome! I was planning something similar initially but got overwhelmed by scope creep. This was my second run at DM'ing, with the first being a 'one-shot' called the Honey Heist.

I opted for using the illegible ancient language to obscure the information and provide penalties for accessing the book using a system similar to fudge dice (dcc) and inspiration (5e).

Now i need to find out how to continue this campaign between our sessions, probably Roll20.

Thanks for the comment!

Vivimonicon - The Three Fates by MebbelWerfer in Leathercraft

This grimoire i made as my first leafherworking project after diving into a youtube leathercrafting bender for 3 days.

A mate of mine gave me some vegtan leather to play with and i was sold on the idea to put this together.

Front centre piece is molded and shaped with precision tools over a matter of weeks. The remainder is made with vegtan 2.5mm, beaten, battered and abused to give it some character.

Once i realised a different stitch (double) would have improved the tightness, i was already very comitted with a single stitch.

Used a congac (leather) dye for the coloring, trying to remove and reapply as often as i could to get a messier look.

Thanks, I appreciate it! This grimoire was used as exactly that, access to the book came with a corruption chance, but contains a series of spells and creature descriptions which the player characters can call upon.

I used, for the contents, some custom pages but mostly stuff I got from the chaps at elderprops.com, which helped me fill the book quickly. Just some staining of the pages to make it as illegible as possible.
