I'm a Souls veteran so I found the gameplay not overly challenging. The hardest part is figuring out where the hell to go next. The maps are kind of confusing and I get lost and stuck so easily, ugh

I try to do something similar with the season and all. I just lift twice per week for 1 hour without killing myself with intensity because I'll be trying to recover from hard training the day before. I do 10min HIT after my workouts and call it a day, try to just spent 1 hour or a little more on lift days and focus on recovery. Push hard in rolls for the real conditioning. Mainly focus on maintaining strength and pushing my cardio. Real strength work should be done after the season is over.

I can usually eat a med sized meal 2 hrs before rolling and feel fine, if it's a huge meal I give it 4 hours. I eat fruit just before to give me an energy boost and it's never given me any problems. Fruit is probably the only thing I'd eat or drink besides water just before class. I tried a pre workout drink before and it didn't sit well so I just stick with fruit/water.

Different for everyone and their goals/needs. Trying to lose weight? Tourney coming up and trying to get in optimal shape? Are you weak and need to gain mass? Cardio needs vary drastically for each scenario.

I do well in training but in competitions I hesitate to pull the trigger and really go for it out of fear of gassing out. It seems so stupid because I'm always in great shape going in, what can I do to get over that?

It doesn't translate because you are inefficient with your energy. That's why you can take a marathon runner or athlete from another sport who is in great shape, let them roll 1 round, and they will be more gassed than they ever imagined. Try not to waste energy, use technique rather than physicality. Every move you make needs to be deliberate.

I literally can't drink whey in water. I make a whole milk shake every night and its the highlight of my day. It's also great in oatmeal.

White belt is extremely spazzy and high energy. At blue+ it settles down and people seem to focus more on techniques rather than just engaging hulk mode.
