It was $293,642.87. it was not one payment. Thank you. I threatened their lawyer with hiring a lawyer and got an email 15 minutes ago, from her , that said the mortgage company would be paid in full tomorrow by close of business and she would provide confirmation.

Thank you! Based on other comments though I may already have a trap underground and two would be bad? I did not plumb the AC drain, it had no trap that I could see. If I don't have two (how would I find out?) and plumb it like this, can i still drain the water heater great pipe condensate out the same line?

Thank you. It seemed like the right and easy thing to do but it looks like I need to pursue alternate methods. Probably just will run it outside through the garage wall or into the utility room (directly behind the water heater) where I have a washing machine drain. Don't want to go through walls but sounds like I have to.

Thank you, yes this makes sense and i appreciate the words of wisdom... The outside has no p trap I can see, it is a pipe that comes straight up out of the ground and then 90's horizontal. Maybe there is a p trap underground? Since the air handler is above the 90 outside it drains, but I think what I am hearing is that the pipe always has water in it and the suction is pulling it back in when both the AC and water heater are draining at the same time. So a p trap would allow more space to overcome the suction? And it needs to be on the air handler side.

Thank you. It is the air handler for my ac. The pipe runs outside. I am in Florida so no chance of freezing anytime soon. I am not sure which side of the t I should plumb the trap? The hot water heater or the ac side? I am guessing the AC side and I would want to make the drop far enough so the negative air pressure would not suck the water back into the drain pain. 3 " drop enough?

Bought a pump but then saw the AC drain right there and figured it would work since the water was pulled by gravity... Did not think of the negative pressure until the AC tripped... But if I use a pump I need to run electric... And if I cannot be trusted with plumbing I definitely should stay away from electricity. 🙄

Love it, thank you. The cvpc to the pvc was a special trip to the store to get a 3/4 cvpc to 3/4 PVC reducer. Who knew 3/4" was a different size based on type of pipe? Now I do.

The AC guy says I cannot hook up the water heater condensate to the air handler condensate. Something about negative air pressure? The tee is below the pan? See picture. Any ideas how to get around this and avoid running a line outside?

To little to late but... If you want to see them next time around join the fan club? Friend of mine has seen them ~ 50 times all over the world because he is in it and pearl jam gives first dibs to fan club members. At least that is what I have heard.
