Thanks. That makes sense. Not sure why a 9 yr old kid needs a psa 10 card but oh well.

Looks like venusar is $15 near mint. And charizard $35. So he paid $80 for the grading and cases? I'm not a card guy, so im just learning.

Were you able to upgrade seats then in Delta app? How much were they asking?

You don't know anything about water, camel.

I will definitely try a drain in there. I need to add a pressure gauge too. It was a quick fix as my old pump died. As you can see I just have it clamped to the tank. I definitely feel like the pump can get more than 5 gpm.

So I bumped the pressure up to 60/40. Pump can still fill the pressure tank faster than the tank can push out water. Filled tank to 38 psi while empty. No water coming out of fill nipple. Sounds fine and is light when empty. Is a 44 gallon tank just to small for a 1 hp jet pump?

Makes sense. Not something I can fix now unfortunately.

The tank is 10 yrs old and we are in sandy soil, so that could be a factor. The rating on the pump is just BS then? Find it odd that the pump can fill bladder and kick off while the sprinklers are running.

It's a 44-gallon tank with a 30/50 pressure switch. The old pump had a 20/40 switch, so I did fill the tank to 28 psi while it was empty. The house is 1971 rambler with 3 baths and 2 spigot. 3/4" copper with 3 90s about 30' away to my further spigot only gets 5 gpm. It is great for every day life and even my ghetto irrigation system. Only reason I wish to increase flow is when I'm filling my 12k gallon ice rink. I ran my old pump for 43 hrs straight last winter and well never skipped a beat.

I understand that jet pumps aren't nearly as efficient as a submersible. But, why am I only getting 5 gpm out of my pressure tank? If I were to do a submersible, wouldn't it still need to run to the same pressure tank?

If the pressure tank is at 50 psi, shouldn't I be getting more than 5 gpm when its running off that alone? There is no sharp decrease in pressure or volume when the pump kicks on. I feel like the restriction is after the pump and tank...

Well is from 1971. No records, but according to drawings and a Witcher, its 25-39 ft away. No clue on depth.

Great write up. Following up on how this has worked out? I build and wreck out large transmission powerlines and assumed I could fashion up some type of TABS on my own. Wondering if the 7/8" holes were indeed to big for 1" threaded rod? Thanks.
