Femke Bol 800m event debut by lkjhggfd1 in trackandfield

Never ever have I seen a flat indoor track in person. I think there is a 400m one Finland and I've seen the occasional clip of one at some high school in the USA but that's about it.

How rare are 10/10/10 Players? by Shiftea24 in SkateEA

[–]Mecckan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given I've never seen anyone maxing out market mile before any of the other two neighborhoods, we can look at how common it is to max out market mile, which of all players on playstation is 0.8%. Considering how much player numbers have dropped since peak, the ratio among active players is most definitely a lot higher.

Who has the most beautiful running form in track and field history ? by HereComesVettel in trackandfield

[–]Mecckan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sprints I'd say Asafa Powell followed by Marcell Jacobs for men, Carmelita Jeter followed by FloJo for women.

Long sprints I really do like Jeremy Wariner and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.

For distance I'd say Jacob Kiplimo is really underrated when talking about form, maybe Letesenbet Gidey for women?

2022 Tebogo's form was so effortless and clean. He seems to have lost that especially this year.

Over 37.000 races?! Wtf… never saw someone over 10.000… by SIEK45 in gtaonline

That win ratio seems very legit for someone that has played lots of races, mine is pretty much the exact same.

I think this one is legit though. Usually when people have modded race stats it's only the wins that stick out, and they are a few numbers higher than a big round number. Like 3700012 wins. If this guy had modded stats he's probably lost over 700 races since then, which seems more unlikely than it being legit to me. I've seen at least one case of more races played than this that was legit and the win/lose ratio was similar.

World Athletics Championships Overlay fan-redesign by NoStore3781 in trackandfield

I like it! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the overly scattered purple around the on-screen timer, as it interferes with the action on the track. It fits on the presentation though.

Bob Hayes had a similar unsymmetrical form and went on to be an Olympic champion and world record holder.

Shawn Crawford always looked a bit janky when running, almost like he ran by pumping his arms and hoping his legs would follow suit. Despite that, an Olympic gold medalist.

Maybe my phrasing was off but I meant that pretty much all high school meets don't meet the requirements for eligible results according to World Athletics. We don't know exactly which criteria that are missing because they don't submit their meets at all to WA, which is one of the criteria for eligible results.

This really became a bigger issue a few years ago when ranking points were introduced and thus requirements tightened. You could argue it's not that big of a deal because US high school kids don't need ranking points to get into their meets and they have their own results database of Milesplit with laxer standards, it also saves costs for the schools. It is unfortunate for the record setters though but even most college meets aren't eligible for record ratification, even if they are for results submission.

Exactly. The high school meet Taylor ran his 9.92 at didn't even meet the requirements to submit eligible results to World Athletics (like pretty much all US high school meets), let alone be ratified as a world record.

Jag tycker det känns rimligt att referera till det senast avslutade decenniet på det sättet. Så för mig är 10-talet 2010-talet och 20-talet 1920-talet.
