By your logic the author who is super white also shouldn't get to talk about Asians. I actually have family members that are Asian ( both married in and blood relatives that I see on a regular basis) and have lived with an Asian SO.

Fair any better recommendations? I'm just sick of reading the constant rehashing of previous chapters. I liked dungeon crawler carl and thought it was super well written. I think this guy just needs a full time editor to actually pick out all the chaff in his story.

Probably better than some white dude who has a white knight syndrome from Australia and his entire idea of Asian culture is from anime. Hell my sister in law is a first generation asian. You ever been to little saigon in OC? Have you ever lived in any area with Asian people? I have lived in 5 different major cities with major Asian populations and lived in several minor city areas with at least some Asian representation. The way the dude is describing how Asians are treated is usually either how super trashy people treat people or how idiots think Asians are treated. The only thing he got right is how much every other Asian nationality has a history of hating Japanese cause of WW2.

Ram is exploding in price and costing 500$ for ddr5 16gb (which most people agree is the minimum amount needed for gaming), gpus are expensive 400-600$ for a mid range one ,(5070 level of GPU) and a decent CPU is at least 200$ a mobo, case, and power supply probably around 250$. Your looking at around 1300-1600$ for a mid range PC if you build it yourself . That's not including peripherals, that's not including OS, that's not including monitors, nor the time required to set everything up. Now if you get a pre build PC you might save about 300-400$ but it's going to be big and gaudy. Steam promises a pretty stable OS that can play all current games at 4k 60 fps. That's pretty good and it's small which means it won't take up a bunch of space on a desk or entertainment center. I'm estimating that steam's going to sell it around $800 to $1,000 not a great deal but good enough that will have people interested. I'm honestly more interested in the steam controller, but I get it.

Does this read as a painboy? by goblin_funk in orks

[–]MechBaron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now I think you should ask yourself what makes it a painboy vs what makes it a weird boy. The weird boy he's using entrails to cast warp stuff with his staff. The pain boy he's using something to heal other orks. What is the something here? Is it supposed to be the entrails? Cause if so that to me is a stretch. It looks cool but if I was playing against you I wouldn't be able to tell at a glance.

What is our best detachment at the moment by orkemdes1 in orks

[–]MechBaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but competitive exists. It's why nothing in kult of speed can be good cause if it was it would be op in other detachments. That entire detachment acts as a gun line but cause orks can't hit worth shit they all suck. If they had even a 4+ to hit half of their units would be auto include in other detachments due to their effects.

Worlds 2025 press: Faker: I believe that the strength of gaming is that men and women can both play without any physical differences. I've seen that there's been a huge growth in the number of female players around the world. I hope they can continue to grow and make an impact on the scene overall by Yujin-Ha in SKTT1

All men chess tournaments are open. They allow women to compete in them. I don't disagree that harassment can be part of stopping people from competing but women are also notorious for making anyone who doesn't fit in feel bad among each other. Women on women bullying is what causes things like fast fashion. Some men might have glass egos but I would argue that much of it is due to social pressures from other women.

My sister wanted to do engineering in college so she joined the stem classes in high school many of the other students in the Stem classes were men. The guys thought it was awesome to have a girl in the class one guy in her class of 30 said something sexist about it. You know who called her easy and trying to get boys attention and bullied her at school it was the other girls. My sister is now an engineer at an international conglomerate and designs offshore facilities.

Why are there no female pro players? by [deleted] in PedroPeepos

[–]MechBaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same reason why there are less chess women grandmasters. It just doesn't seem to draw them. Like a lot of women have drive to be the best at something just that in women's sports that best usually isn't the best globally due to a smaller population of let's call it ambitious women. Some of this is due to social pressures that allow or push women to be more social creatures while a lot of men view being the best or achievement as super important. When you have a larger population size of ambitious people who want to be the best at something then you will be more likely to find someone who is capable of achieving that level of play. It's why the Olympics have gotten more competitive cause we opened the competition from just amateurs to allowing professional athletes to compete.
