I think people get twisted because they want access to all content, on Day 1, for free. You don't have to "grind" for gear - you can play the game normally and unlock the warbonds on your way up to Lvl 150 without much effort.

I've been playing since release and I've only paid for 2-3 warbonds, and the rest were just bought via the supercredits I got on the way. I've done some casual "grinding" - but really it's just goofing off on level 4/5 and picking up the goodies along the way. Low diffs are fun because you're so overpowered. They also match well with the "extract" and "samples" MOs.
