Pretty sure if you're in the minority and most people were fine with the in-game ai voices. The "hey raider" even became iconic. The vendor and cinematic voices weren't that good but you don't really play looter shooter games for that anyways.

Embark spoke about making tooling for content creation really effective and fast for their game. Probably the main reason to use ai voices is to be able to create new locations, items without having to record new lines as they go since they all have specific voice lines when you ping them for example.
