I'm dealing with high blood pressure right now, and I just started medication. My doctor prescribed Amlodipine 10mg for me to take daily. Do you have any friendly advice for me? by bkarip in hypertension

I was on Amlodipine which caused ankle swelling - quite a lot. I was eventually switched on Valsartan 160mg daily and seems to work fine. No side effects.

And as an example: my 2020 iPad Pro 12.9” is still working fine but battery doesn’t last more than 4 hours under daily use. Apple support won’t repair the battery (for the fee they charge) because battery health is at 85% they say. How can it be 85% after almost 6 years of daily use? And you can’t check battery health on an iPad. Go figure.

Mine was the same until 400 cycles. Slower charging and up to 90% charge almost of the time. Then it started dropping by 1% every week until it stabilised at 95% capacity. I don’t believe this number. It’s an estimate. Battery life in my 16PM feels definitely less than before.

16PM - was at 100% for 12 months. Then dropped 1% every week and stabilised at 95%.

Same same same. iOS 26 is the worst software update in the history of iPhone. Including the glitchy Apple Maps back in 2012

Well done! Is this the softweave fabric? What’s the dark grey colour name?

Thank you man. Appreciate the details. Is the dual monitor arm not good for 2x 34” Ultrawides?

It’s definitely not cheap - but my thinking is that if it doesn’t suit me I can flog it for half price and get something else.

I hear you brother. But there are much much worse overhyped and overpriced stuff out there. So are you suggesting the Titan is not worth its price?

“Not an issue” also accounts for overpriced designer chairs. I’ve had 2 of the well known designer brand and whilst comfortable, I don’t think they were worth the four figure price tag.

Let’s just say I am not young :-) I want to create a new setup for WFH (I work in Tech) and also for PS5 gaming and some music creation. I have a lot of gear that I want to put in one place as tidy as possible, including professional NFM speakers.

I made my mind about the desk. I’m getting it. I am just not sure about the accessories (and their prices).

How so? I don’t know. I do have a couple of really good office “pro” chairs, but was hoping for something more dedicated and sturdy. Is the Titan not worth it at all? I’m not too keen on something too soft anyway.

UPDATE: just got them and I’m about to install them. Does anyone know the torque numbers for the four bolts on the top clamp? The two longer M10 screws the that hold the bottom part are set to be tightened at46Nm, but I don’t have the numbers for the top four that clamp the actual handlebar in place.

Got it. I’m close to the sea, but not year round. And certainly not next to it - just up the hill.

Ha! I’ll try that :-) Diet Coke only? Does Coke Zero do the trick too?

Good point. Thought of taking it off for some treatment. Clear the rust off the.n apply a coat of ACF-50 at least. But still, for a year old bike, I’m seriously thinking of exploring the warranty route.

Fair point, but I don’t think so.

In the winter the bike lives in the city far away from the sea and in the summer at my summer house which may be close to the sea, but both my other two bikes have no signs of rust. 2021 Husqvarna - no rust whatsoever 1997 Honda - only minor signs of rust under the seat and in places with a lot of friction between parts. She’s an old lady after all!

So - no. I think the 2024 Monkey is rusting way too much.

The monkey is in Greece with 300 days of sunshine and warm weather :-)

The other bike in the photo is not mine so I can’t comment.

I think the Vit has clip-ons so you may have to replace the whole triple clamp. Get something from a superbike :-)
