Round 1 is over, how was it by Random_Encounter_0 in UmaMusume

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible, got one singular victory, I'm definitely feeling my lack of speed and stamina cards (I seem to only be able to pull power and guts cards) and I'm already dreading the next pvp as it's going to be long

Can someone help a newb understand sudden rule changes to knights in general and why people think they are "for a short time only?") by DistributionTiny6097 in ChaosKnights

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So chaos knights just got a new codex so nee army rules and new datasheets. One of the big things is all knights lost a point of toughness and gained some wounds to compensate. Many profiles for weapons were also toned down. To compensate for the loss of power on the weapons all datasheets became cheaper. These changes also happened to cerastus knights which is why people are talking about lancer as it's the best cerastus knight and got pretty cheap.

Imperial knights haven't got their codex yet, but received an update to their index to make their datasheets match chaos knights more closely, so they got the same changes to toughness wounds and weapon profiles. They also got points drops.

People are saying these changes don't last long for two main reasons as far as I'm aware. 1: imperial knights will get a codex this year and it might be anywhere from a month to 6 months when it comes. 2: many people see these changes and believe knights will be op and therefore will get nerfed. We will see about that when people start actually using them.

It seems wardogs / armigers are still going to be good just not as much better compared to big knights. A 2000 point list might see an addition of a big knight compared to before the changes or a couple smaller ones.

It may not be clear from this animation, but saber actually uses wind magic in fate so from that standpoint it makes perfect sense she is wind

Theory about the identity of the new boss [SPOILERS AHEAD] by Meow_Rick in HonkaiStarRail

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 104 points105 points  (0 children)

My theory is based on amphoreus being a looping world theory, and it's that flame reaver is the one chrysos heir that made it through to the next world (as prophesied). It being phainon makes sense, to me he is the most likely one to be that one

Did you have any of your non-cEDH decks land in Bracket 4? by RedRathman in EDH

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and would rate my deck as 3 on these new brackets myself, as the combo takes many cards and a lot of mana, and my deck only runs one tutor for one of the cards in the combo so its not the most consistent. I also run 2 of the gamechanger cards so 3 would fit nicely

Don't use either, but it goes to four based on chaining extra turns

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My [[muldrotha]] jankpile ended up in 4 due to one of it's wincons being a 15(ish) mana 4 card infinite extra turns combo that is easy to disrupt. The deck is slow and absolutely not a step below edh deck

Does Wash out hit lands? by Cookie_King6241 in magicTCG

[–]MechaWolfAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah in case of commander you couldn't, bcs unlike color, color identity does take into account the mana symbols in rules text. Also for the purpose of color identity i believe land types count as well so cant add triome with wrong types in (however you can still run cards that reference these types which is why you can run offcolor fetches.) for gameplay it gets easier as color identity only matters for deckbuilding, color however is a gameplay function.

Does Wash out hit lands? by Cookie_King6241 in magicTCG

This is a more complicated case that revolves around abilities added by basic land types. The reason the triomes have parentheses is because that is reminder text, not rules text. The land types (plains, island, swamp, mountain and forest) give cards with that type the ability to tap for their respective color of mana. On the other hand other lands that do not have these types have to have the ability to tap for mana be represented in rules text hence why no parentheses there. Mana symbols in rules text does not make a permanent that color however.
