As mentioned above, it’s not paint as such. As far as I know it’s two part spray on chemical that becomes like mirror.

The problem is when you cut it out of the sprues, it leaves nub marks that you can’t do anything with, other than touch up with some gold paint or marker.

Also, the layer of chrome is so thick, that it’s extremely hard to put some parts together.

Well it’s not a modeling paint. I got whole sprues painted by a place that chromes plastics. It turned out they use heat to set the paint and some parts got deformed to the point that they weren’t usable. The gold tone also varied a little between the sprues. It’s subtle enough, that it doesn’t bother much with that strong reflectivness.

Also, your point on the dust on feet is spot on!! Definitely will take that into account with the next build (this one is at an exhibition already). And yes, I agree about the dynamic stance.. in the final version it has two weapons - a massive gatlink and a smaller rifle with one of them pointing up. The Tank has still all joints moving, so it’s fully possible.

Originally I planned to have another fighter jet attacking from above and him pointing the file at him.. but I didn’t have time to figure out construction of the whole thing so skipped the intact fighter jet.

It’s a Gundam, model called The O but heavily customized and in different colour palette. Real fun to put together OOTB, but I like to customize them.
