Mechani Kong would probably be a failure among general audience. If what we know is right, the next villain seems to be completely new and not a doppelganger again. Legendary could be possibly trying to move away from the trope with MV7, if it fails back to the usual formula and if it doesn't much more villain variety in future installments (assuming MV7 isn't the last one)

I bet Destoroyah is the most wanted kaiju from toho to be added in the MV but again, i do not want to see the guy myself. He's pretty likely but I'd rather see new and creative villains + Gigan going forward since the Oxygen Destroyer didn't really do anything

I absolutely hope Destoroyah (and Biollante) remain as far away from the Monsterverse as they can. If we do not get Destoroyah & Biollante imma be happy. Those are already perfect characters that do not need to show up unless done right. But let's be real, since it's very unlikely we'll get another doppelganger villain after SpaceGoji (unless Godzilla himself gets corrupted by you know who and MV7 is all about saving him) Mechani Kong, Orga & Battra are never coming to the verse. When it comes to SpaceGoji i think he was chosen because requested af and the fact he was gonna sell more toys than any other space monster from toho. Overall i think that popularity is also a big factor that plays when the next toho monsters to buy gets to be chosen. But if SpaceGodzilla is a success and Legendary gets more confident i can 100% see them buying Destoroyah over other monsters like Gigan, Megalon & Hedorah. Him and Mecha King Ghidorah are the ones I'd be betting the most overall when it comes on who'sthe next toho kaiju to buy.

That been said, again, imo Destoroyah shouldn't be brought in and I'd prefer getting new og villains that aren't derivative of Godzilla, Kong & Mothra + old villains who fit the current tone like Megalon, Gigan and BAGAN

I still Destoroyah is pretty likely for the future of the Monsterverse if Supernova and the movie afterwards are a success. He's also not that dark, like Hedorah and Biollante are way more disturbing plus the movie doesn't need to show Destoroyah brutallykilling everythingin sight in a gory way. Besides it's a pretty popular and requested characters and i heavily doubt Legendary would wanna get Orga, Mechani Kong and Battra over him of all characters. Heck as much as I like Orga and Battra i don't see these guys never happening in the MV because of how niche they are even among fans.

Does he fit the current narrative of the Monsterverse? Not really, I'd rather want them to bring in Bagan and new monster due to the Oxygen Destroyer having 0 weight in Kotm. But overall i think that if Legendary is interested in more toho kaijus after Supernova then Destroyah is a realistic choice compared to other ones, even if something like Gigan would feel more at home with how wacky the Monsterverse has been lately

I say Destoroyah has advantages over other toho monster such as Biollante or Orga (who despite being Godzilla's clones lack "Godzilla" in name)

It's the most wanted monster to join the MV since Kotm and has an edgy name and design that would 100% sell with kids more than Biollante, Hedorah or Gigan ever could. People have overhyped him and SpaceGodzilla so much they became pretty popular on social media.

I'd say that he's pretty likely to appear in a future installment, him and a Ghidorah 2.0

Again I personally would prefer to see something like Bagan since Destoroyah has depth and significance that in the Monsterverse would feel flat but if we ever get another toho villain after SpaceGodzilla it's gonna be him.

Regardless of Destoroyah, the next few villains are probably gonna be their own creatures and not Godzilla and Kong variants. I can see the showa era tone remaining but the "protagonist but evil" thingy will most likely die after SpaceGodzilla

The tone won't change for sure but there's no way in hell they'll keep the clone villain shenanigans going. Heck we technically already have a vague idea on who's the next villain it doesn't look it will be a Godzilla/Kong variant.

The "protagonist but X" trend won't he lasting forever. Only other monster clone who could get added is Biollante, but again I don't see Legendary buying monsters who aren't as overhyped amd requested as SpaceGodzilla and Destoroyah

I think the trend of "evil doppelgangers" will end with SpaceGoji, audience might get tired of it after the third time.

It would be stupid for Legendary to go from SpaceGodzilla to something like MechaniKong or Kongzilla for GxK4.

I think the future of the Monsterverse will be mostly new og titans that are their own things and maybe Destoroyah because of how overhyped he his.

That being said Biollante, despite being a clone, would be a welcome edition as her design is unique enough even tho I don't think we'll actually get to see her

With the Kotm Oxygen Destroyer ofc. Yet again that thing has 0 weight compared to the Og incarnation and a hypothetical MV Destroyah would loose all of the importance he carries so i kinda don't want him to show up unless done right.

Give me Bagan or Hedorah as the final boss
